The wall prices can be a pain for those of us that don't spend much if any real money on the game. However it just adds yet another challenge to keep you pushing to get more.

LVL 10 - 2 m
LVL 11 - 3 m
BETTER...
As bad as I would like the walls price to be decreased, I am not wanting this to happen. It would just cause the casual player bases to be more difficult and the walls show who the real grinders are!
They're overpriced, upgrading all my walls ONCE would cost more than going to TH 10, upgrading them again would cost more than an inferno tower, maybe even two inferno towers, I personally refuse to lvl up my walls past lvl 7 until everything else is maxed.
wall prices are fine, they're meant to be expensive and add longevity to the game (like previously mentioned) with something left to dump resources into once you have maxed TH10 and are waiting for SC to do a TH11 update. At which time, I hope they introduce lvl 12 walls for 6 mill per wall :D
Level 7? If your focus is regular matchmaking (farming, trophy pushing), then that's actually probably the best route. The gold would be better spent on defenses than on walls. (Of course, if you have excess elixir, then I think it's worth it to spend 500k gold on a level 8 wall in order to unlock the ability to dump anywhere from 1M to 8M elixir into that wall to upgrade it to level 9-11.)
However, if your focus is war (as mine is), then you should continue to work on your walls. They have very little, if any weight in matchmaking. Money dumped into walls will increase your defense (by a very small amount), while affecting your matchmaking strength by an even smaller amount, if at all. Dumping money into X-Bows and Inferno towers pretty much guarantees a much stronger opponent in war. No point investing in X-Bows and inferno towers until the rest of your defenses are almost maxed.
I doubt wall prices will ever change. You'd certainly hear a lot of complaining from the players that pay full price.
Level 10 never made much sense to me, the jump from 1m to 3 seems a bit steep. Everything else seems pretty much in line though, and a slight reduction from level 8 up wouldnt make much difference in the number of players doing them.
What would be interesting would be a limited time wall sale for CoCs 3rd birthday or something.
