I know some of you are likely chuckling to yourselves, saying something along the likes of how stupid those kind of people are, but you too can fall into that way of thinking too, and not fully realize it!

Why am I saying this? Because I saw some examples of this already in this thread with people arguing over things that aren't totally related to the topic at hand. I know GanjaSandwich, and a few others, and the wording they use can rub against someone. Same could be said for me. They aren't trolls, or intending to harrass anyone. Point out the issue calmly, and usually we address it rather quickly.

Also, those two common issues of taking things the wrong way from lack of tone of voice, and pride in one's ideas are also issues that needs to be kept in mind when breaking the news to people about ruled out ideas. (That's right, this rant applies to the thread topic too :p)

Anyway, could go on with a tangent topic... Just please keep the miscommunication and pride in check when working on ideas, OK?

Yeah I defenitly can concer on that one. It really does suck that you put a lot of work I. Ideas and they are ruled out (i've had this happen with a no default troop thread that dahami pointed out to me.)

I'm hoping this gets the message across to people we do care about This forum and what it stands for. I can be playing clash of clans right now but instead I'm on a website about it. It's a weird thing to think about but the forums is just a s important as the game.

I've only been browsing the forum for a few months now and only officially made an account this month, but I completely agree. The Ruled Out sticky is only really looked at by those who are trying to come up with a legitimate idea or by those ensuring that someone else's idea is/isn't ruled out.

Many ideas that are posted on this sub-forum are ruled out and when I first made the account my goal was to try to help people understand that their ideas may have been ruled out and I would try to give a very brief explantation as to why. It didn't go well.

Once I tried to notify the OP that a builder idea was ruled out when it was not. I was corrected very quickly by Warren and a few others that I was in the wrong, and that I was being counterproductive in my goal to attempt to clean the forum. I also tried to convince someone that bringing back low level lix-walls wasn't going to be good for the game's economy and future, and he took it very personally. It took a few other posters to get him to understand.

The idea(s) you present will provide a fix to the endless ruled out threads and will stop others from doing what I've done, but instead help improve upon the good ideas.

I really hope this makes its way to one of the mods or one of the SC employees so they can finally improve this sub-forum.

I saw another donating resources idea pop right now and saw like five people comment on it. I really want to push for some kind of sub-forum mod who can lock threads in the IFR sub-forum, like, that would help so much and really clean it up.

Locking threads would be a huge help as well.

I guess you could PM one of the mods, but I believe someone on this thread has already done so and is still trying to get a reply from one of the lead mods.

Many senior members have said before(especially in this thread) that mods have been absent from this forum and it's leading to the overall downfall of it. We need more/better/active mods to get the ruled out threads to stop.

I try. Thanks for taking the initiative and messaging 'em, I'd be hard-pressed to even find the username of a mod.
