What do you suggest to the tens of thousands of players named clasher? What about the 10's of thousands Larrys's? That's not fair. If I wanted an original name I would make one (oh wait I did.) and if I didn't I woudnt of. I enjoy this players choice. No further restriction needed as I can hardly talk in global without half my words being censored.

There should be no duplicate names in the same clan

I agree with the concept- but not one name for each player globally. In other words- you should be allowed to chose any name you want with no restrictions. But if you join a clan who has a player with the same exact name: something does need to change. Something as simple as a (2) after the second players name who joins will solve this problem.


In our clan have had 3 sets of duplicate named players (all at the same time) "Bob", "Chris", and "Lee". It really does create confusion, especially when in the same league.

So I am a fan of a variation of this idea...

If bob and lee and Jim chose those names; they don't value independence. Why give them something they didn't take when they had the chance?

I do understand what you mean. Though when I personally made my account and simply chose "Kyle"- I had no idea I was going to be come completely addicted to this game :smirk: In hindsight I absolutely would have chose something different, and know plenty of players feel the same. This also has nothing do to with "independence", so I'm not sure what point you're trying to prove there. Its simply a fair suggestion to allow an distinction in the circumstance where two players with the same village name are in a clan together.
