X-Bows to air only

This isn't the first time I posted this idea. The last time I did, it got the same replis of people being on both sides if the debate. Air attacks have been op since the lavahounds came out and this can be a new way to help defend against them. More than 1 Xbow can be built so people can put 1 Xbow on ground only and the other on air only. I do agree that the range could be lowered to about 13-12 tiles, just to let smaller troops like minions and lava pups still have a chance.

Disagree. Take a look at the army compositions of all the top trophy players. They all use lava ballonian. Almost none use GoWiWi, GoWiPe, HoWi or any other land-based raid. Giving players the option to set Xbow to air only would also increase the utility of walls, which are super expensive at town hall 9 and 10 (2-4 mil per unit)

I agree with that first part. Air and Ground is the better of the 2 settings - use it!

This idea makes complete sense.

If you don't want to set it to Air Only don't use it. There are obvious benefits and consequences to it. Anyone who sets their Xbows to Air only is obviously more susceptible to GoWiPe/Wi Hog/Combo attacks. Likewise anyone who sets it to Ground only is more Susceptible to LavaLoonIan & Drag attacks. I think there is a risk/reward factor here which I like a lot.

People seem to have trouble understanding exactly what the idea implies.

I would simply say this

This new update would allow 3 Setting Options for the X-Bow

Ground Only - 14 Tiles
Ground & Air - 11 Tiles
Air Only - 14 Tiles (Possibly 12 or 13)

Just so everyone understands better.

Perhaps it could be useful. Just not very sure about how it would look. (A stand wouldn't work.) and you cant exactly have it pointed straight up.

Maybe the Air only setting on the xbow could look like how it normally does on the Air&Ground setting but give it a longer barrel?...

So as long as it is just offering a new choice and not taking away any old ones most of us would not be hurt by it so if it makes someone else happy then why not? For those that are at levels where this might not be a good choice... that's still their prerogative, we all have the right to make our own choices however good or bad.

The only downside I can see would be if guys do not want to see the nerf on drag attacks on the TH7 level. But I would let guys at those level speak for themselves.

I'm not sure I understand completely. Town hall 7 doesn't get xbows... You're comment is agreeable, it is someones prerogative whatever setting they put their xbows on. It's not game breaking op and it's not a useless addition. I find myself getting attacked by lavaloon/lavaloonion mostly in clan wars, and not regular attacks.
