I hate people using a lightning spell on my de storage!!!

Protecting your DE from lightning spells...

So, we've all had that one ♥♥♥♥ who drops a spell on your DE storage then leaves. Pretty darned annoying.

People are coming up with all sorts of elaborate solutions to this but this one is much more simple.

What do we not want to happen? A lightning spell to take DE from the storage. Notice the specific wording of that. I mentioned nothing about damage.

My idea is that lightning spells can still damage a DE storage, but don't take any DE. It's so simple, why hasn't anyone said this yet??

People have thought of this. But that's just not how the game works.

This isn't Boom Beach - you don't have to destroy the town hall/HQ in order to steal resources.

Resources are stolen any time a resource building is damaged. And the lightning spell causes damage to buildings. Therefore, resources are stolen when a lightning spell is used on a resource building.

I don't see this changing anytime soon.

There have been a lot on this topic but I've never seen this suggestion.

I think the fact that you can take DE effortlessly makes the game a lot more frustrating, and I believe the majority really want SC to make it so it doesn't happen.

You are right, there HAS been a LOT on this subject. And still, nothing might be done.
Also, it's not as effortless as you think it is. You need a LOT of Elixir for this, and bases with decent loot are rare. Be thankful that people still snipe your TH and give you the 12H shield.

I know the mechanics of the game, that's why I'm suggesting a change to it... I don't really see what you're trying to do here other than make me look stupid which isn't gonna work buddy.

You already look stupid, buddy. Don't beat on a dead horse, and just go along with it.
Also, DE Storage not getting damaged was already suggested before, I've been around long enough to see them.

If that's the case we should do the same for elixir and gold. So farming will become moot. With upgrading drills De is a rich resource until you near maxing dark troops.
