Bring back upgrading to Level 8 walls with Elixir and Gold

Of course it's time consuming, that's exactly what this game is all about. You want the easy button to be able to upgrade quickly without much effort? Then buy gems and upgrade instantly to your heart's content.

As for bringing back the horrible mistake of allowing low-level walls to be upgraded with elixir?

Exactly.

This subforum is for for requesting new features and new ideas, not for bringing back flawed ones.

Elixir for level 7 and 8 walls is not a new idea nor is it or new feature - it was already implemented and found to be defective.

Just another whining thread. (and I love the OPs response to the effect of "I don't care how many crybabies came whining before me and were shown why they are wrong, I am still going to whine some more") It would be a huge mistake for them to do what's being asked here. To say other wise is to either not understand what's good for the game or to be so into what they want for their own little self that they don't care.

perhaps to make everyone happy they could change it so only level 10 and 11 upgrades can use elixer

My thought is to make everyone happy they should just keep the game working well. That will help everyone to be happy that have them in it to be happy.

yes but you dont see many people with level 7 walls saying they should upgrade with elixer, so i was thinking if they removed the level 9 upgrade it moves it out of reach for the level 8 whiners

i upgraded my walls to level 8 with gold, and i raided non stop for over two weeks to do it, it was also during a 1 gen collector boost week so that helped a bit, but still i recon it could be done in a month by any player if they wanted to do it. and i had level 7 walls right upto th 10 so i did every wall, not just the walls you get for th8

It WAS a problem which was why it got changed. If you can buy walls w elixir at 500k, that creates a whole group of people that essentially never have more than say 600-700k for long stretches of the game, which means that if you're raiding their base you're probably losing elixir. If you can't buy walls with e until they cost 1m though, then there's a lot more people sitting on 700k-1.1 or 1.2m, and their bases actually are worth raiding.



I have nearly max TH9 defense now, and almost entirely level 7 walls still (about 30 skulls). I never had a problem with excess elixir at TH8, and I've never had a problem defending in multiplayer or in war at TH9. Pretty soon I'll be totally finished with both e and gold for TH9, and I'll be dumping both into walls while I upgrade heroes and the last few dark troops. So really, I don't see excess e as a problem since you're not required to finish level 8 walls before moving to TH9.
