Clash of Clans on PC!

I had a thought... What if Clash of Clans was available on PC? I know that it's meant to be a mobile-based game, but PCs have bigger screen, making it easier to see what's happening in your village. I zoom out when I raid, and I'm sure other people do too, as it allows you to deploy troops all around the enemy's village. On a mobile, this makes everything tiny!!! On a PC, though, I'd actually be able to see the village that I'm raiding clearly.

Controls

The controls on a PC WOULD WORK. For example, to collect your Gold, you would simply click on the Gold Collector. In a raid, to deploy troops, you simply click to deploy a troop, or click and hold to deploy multiple troops, one after the other. To move buildings in your village, click and hold the building until it turns green, then drag the mouse to move the building! THE CONTROLS WILL WORK!!!


So, does this not seem like a good idea? Do you think this should be implemented? Post your comments below!!!

Probably not going to happen. It would ruin the psychological addiction behind CoC's success if you had to wait until you get somewhere comfortable to get your laptop out (opposed to whipping out a phone and checking your defence log).

SC hasn't shown much interest in coding Clash for Windows phone and I don't think we will get to PCs anytime soon.

I heard another big reason it's a mobile only game is that it's a lot harder to ♥♥♥♥. I don't think SC would take this away.

I'm not saying that SuperCell should REMOVE the mobile version, I'm just saying that they should put the game onto PC as well as mobile.

Take Growtopia as an example. It's a 2-D sandbox game with over 40,000 players, and it operates on mobile AND PC, and the mobile version and the PC version can connect. Someone playing on PC can connect and chat with somebody playing on their phone. That is what SuperCell should do with Clash of Clans. ;)

Another reason that I would like Clash of Clans to be on PC is because if you drop your phone (like I did) and it smashes (like mine did) it'd be nice to have it on PC so you can still play the game until you get a new phone.

Look, if your phone smashes, then it's going to be a 2 weeks or longer until you get a new one or it gets repaired, and that's 2-5 weeks that you won't be able to check on your village, participate in Clan Wars, or re-arm your traps. Can you see why that would be a problem? It would be so useful to have Clash of Clans on PC!!;)

No point.

Too much effort for too little gain
Meaning that Supercell will not get nearly as much support on the PC as on the mobile devices
(Not to mention that it makes it easier to "not play fairly")

Finally, it's too clumsy.
I can't imagine trying to raid using a mouse.
Much smoother on the mobile device.


All in all, this game was built for mobile devices and will most likely never deviate from that.

Look, if you want an example of how much bigger the game will look, watch a Youtube video of someone doing a raid in Clash of Clans, but watch it in FULLSCREEN. That's how much bigger it would be! Seriously people, I'm getting nearly NO SUPPORT for this, but the reasons I have are good! Please please please show some support, Clashers!!! ;-;

Now I don't know much about whether this would b worth the effort for supercell, but if it was profitable I think it would b great to have coc on pc also!

I agree that it would be great to play clash on a bigger screen but putting it on pc wouldnt probably make alot of positive impact to players, just as others have already mentioned. If this feature was to be released, id still play on my phone, and never on a laptop or pc because its really far more convenient to simply take out your phone and play. So even if this was made available, not everyone will take advantage of it and the few who does might revert back to using phones because of the effort you have to make to play on pc.

Bottom line, it wont make a lot of difference so i think SC wont bother to follow up on this.

Maybe you should just play on an ipad?

This is a mobile game app. It's meant to be on mobile devices. Also, PC allow much more access to core programming files then on iPhones and Android phones. Heck, you don't even need code you can easily get a macro autoclicker which can keep you online 6 hours straight and constantly collecting your collectors.

So besides the fact that it's easier to use exploitative tools, it defeats the purpose of a mobile game.... which is to be mobile!
