Here you go...
5% for attacking someone with a Town Hall (TH) 4+ levels lower than the attacker's.
25% for attacking someone with a TH 3 levels lower than the attacker's.
50% for attacking someone with a TH 2 levels lower than the attacker's.
90% for attacking someone with a TH 1 level lower than the attacker's.
100% for attacking someone with a TH level equivalent to the attacker's.
110% for attacking someone with a TH 1 level higher than the attacker's.
150% for attacking someone with a TH 2 levels higher than the attacker's.
200% for attacking someone with a TH 3+ levels higher than the attacker's.
The loot penalty is for higher Townhall levels that attack a lower Townhall level. Meaning that if you are a Townhall 9 and you attack a lower Townhall level, let's say a Townhall 8, the loot you can get isn't the full 100% of the 20-25% of the total resources of that base.
The other way now:
If you are Townhall 8 and you attack a Townhall 9, you will get a bonus for attacking a higher Townhall base. So instead of the regular loot, you will obtain some extra % for the effort you did by attacking a higher Townhall level base.
Actually Zeratul, that explanation is a bit misleading.
You get only:
- 5% if you attack a TH with 4 levels lower than yours
- 25% if you attack a TH with 3 levels lower than yours
- 50% if you attack a TH with 2 levels lower than yours
- 90% if you attack a TH with 1 level lower than yours
You don't get any deduction (loot penalty) nor bonus if it's the same level as you
You get a bonus (more loot) of:
- 10% if you attack a TH with 1 level above than yours
- 50% if you attack a TH with 2 levels above than yours
- 100% if you attack a TH with 3+ levels above than yours
The last one clearly it's a kamikaze mission, unless you stumble into a premature rushed TH 9 or 10, and you happen to be TH 6-7 for instance.
If you go out shopping and says 5% like that, you would expect to get that product with 95% of it's original price, a thing that clearly isn't going to happen. :p
Anyway, mathematically that translates into the same result, but it's easier to understand that you get only 5% from attacking someone 3+ levels lower than you, or at the other end the 100% extra if you go kamikaze on a player with a TH 3+ levels higher than you.
Thanks for explaining :o
So if I, as a TH 10, attack a TH 8 I should be able to get 50% of what they are holding? I ask because that doesn't actually seem to happen.
I have just visited the base of someone who attacked me with the view of making a revenge attack. While I was analysing the players defence I also counted up his loot which came to just over 2,000,000 of elixir in his Storages and collectors.
However, when I went to do the actual revenge attack there was only 250k of elixir available. In my maths 50% of 2 mill is 1 mill so I am missing something with this system obviously.
Is there an actual percentage figure on what is available applied before any loot penalty is applied?
