I've heard story's of a townhall 8 taking a year and a half to max out because of how bad he rushed. I've been playing since Halloween and I'm only an 8 currently so I can't imagine spending that long and still being on 8.
The early years on clash are really what teaches us the most. Much like in life.

Seems like we started playing at around the same time. Lol
Im also at th8 but im almost maxed out, i think ill stay here for a few more weeks to upgrade some troops.

Yeah we did apparently lol :p TH kinda sucks when you start but does get better :)

I happily take in low level, 0-30, TH 3-6s. If they stay a week, I let them in wars. In wars, the attacks by the bottom members don't matter, they can be covered, and they down-weight the strength of the matched opposition. It is to the clans advantage to have a few low level players at the bottom end. The only problem is that the active ones level up real quick, I guess they see the strategies, and hear advice.
What really hurts is a TH10 who doesn't donate or turn up.

I'm confused by this common attitude. If your troops are not maxed, how can you call yourself maxed.
Like one guy at TH8 who says he has too much elixir, but hasn't upgraded to PEKKAs, let alone upgraded them.
I think it is obvious that after maxing collectors, you should maximize offensive capability before defenses. A good offense, if you attack more than once per day, wins far more than you can lose to one attack per 12 or 24 hours.

I agree with this idea, it would stop lots of spam clans and such, and even lower the amount of invitation spam.
