Level Requirments: Making a clan

Intro
We all know the benefit of having a strong clan. They help you grow and you can help them as well. Well what if you're a level 18 making a clan called "Best Clashers"? The likelyhood of you recieving strong loyal members is pretty low. Yes it can be done; but you'll likely set yourself back. I find one of the common mistakes of newer players is creating a clan rather than joining one where they can grow and improve; other than rushing the wrong way (there is proper ways but I'm not going to get into that.) So I am suggesting since individuals are Low level; that they will be restricted to creating a clan like on other games and one notable game; Boom Beach.

Whats the restriction?
Restrict creating a clan to level 30 (Subjectable to change.)

How is this helpful?
Players of newer age to the game will be allowed to enjoy it better and over the course of time a better experience with clash of clans. Creating a clan is a lot of work and there isn't a substantial reason an individual would need to create a clan at level 10-25. This is the growing area and where players are first getting their shoes wet and learning the game. It's one of the most influential time on a clasher as well. (Always told to max.) So the best thing to do is to encourage individuals to find a helpful clan rather than encourage them to start one :)

How can you inform players of this?
Have Samantha mention it in the intro of course! Advise players to join a clan so they can learn and progress :) I'll leave the details up to Samantha and supercell

Player level, even as-is, would actually be useful in this situation. It isn't something someone can easily rush or quickly grind. And it makes some sense in making it kind of a level achievement to being able to try Leader rank of your own clan, if they think they can handle it.

I don't know how the intro for it goes, but when what's-her-name-village-helper talks about Clans and Clan Castles, she should stress the point on joining an existing clan, citing it being cheaper, and will likely run into more people, sooner, this way; and get right to doing wars and stuff. Newbies usually follow nicely stated intros (unless forced to do as instructed, and always do as the intro 'suggests' :smirk:), and it could help in steering people away from making too many clans.

I agree. Putting a restriction on creating a clan will help not only those new guns that are excited to have clans but maybe the servers as well.

Seeing low lvl people in global recruiting guys for their newly created clan is pitiful. Because you know based from experience that its unlikely that they will get strong guys who will stick with them. Yeah there are those people who actively seekout clans filled with low lvl guys either to help or just brag, but very few of them will stay for the long haul.

If clan creation is indeed restricted by lvl, those new guys will learn more stuff far quicker and we'll have less people who will say that they regret rushing or stuff like that. They'll also learn more about war attacks and strategy. I know i did. Yeah i had to wait till th6 before i can war but it was ok.

And i agree with warren that level alone is enough of a restriction. If SC uses th as a basis to prevent clan creation for new players, some of them might just rush their th so they can make a clan for themselves which will be alot worse for them. They cant rush their level so they really will be forced to simply join a clan rather than create one.

Dumbest thing ive ever heard, all players regardless of level should have the right to make a clan and enjoy the game as they choose.

I was going to put that but, idk, i forgot. Yes everyone has a right to do what they want to do in this game as long as it doesnt negatively impact the game on a massive scale and low lvl players that create clans definitely does not do that. Its fine, really, that people have a chance to make their own clans, but the OP simply suggests these things for what he believes (and i agree) to be somewhat better for these freshies.

You might say, "what do you know about what's good for other people!" and yeah we dont. It is simply based from experience and observations that we suggest this. And if most people think that this idea is bad, then ive got no problem whatsoever. Your opinion, my opinion. Just suggestions anyway.

Yeah i agree with this idea, not only does it not help the player who creates that clan, but other newbies who join the clan and stay also suffer.

I agree with this in principle but my question is this do we really want cleverer and more organised clans in clan wars? XD

ok think about this, what if a level 30 pplayer creates a clan and gives it to a level 10? kinda screws up your whole plan doesn't it. why are you so against it anyway?

i wager you just see players in clans like that and you think they should all join yours cos you are so superior, if its just about getting those players then quit this now

What about a requirement on TownHall upgrades?
All players play different in this aspect and it may be how someone chooses to play by rushing ahead to get the troops. I feel I can say a level requirement on the townhalls 1-4 wouldn't be a bad idea; I'm sure this may also be helpful to the newer players as clash does grow and keep on going. People can rush as they please even though most advise against it at early stages. I'm for this idea of a requirement on Townhalls 1-4 but only for those. As by then most players know what to do and won't set them back substantionally and want a restart. This prevents a lot of headache for those who didn't think of maxing early stages.

I agree there should be a level restriction on creating a clan but the th restrictions shouldn't be in place. At th1-4 the loot penalty isn't really the issue. Instead of restricting the th by level just make the notice about the loot penalty more prominent. maybe have it pop up to full screen when someone try's to upgrade their th.

Love it. It will let people actually learn how to play before going off creating a clan with 0 knowledge of anything
Don't really like the townhall restriction though.
