You need near max th8 to get close to anti-dragon and even then you will get three stared by drags. Anti-hog is double giant bombs with overlaping splash damage but lv4 hogs and the right time can sometimes over come that. Bottom line is th8 isn't looking for anti anything. Just try and keep em to two stars.
I agree with the above post, but also think if you want to be anti dragon it helps to spread out your outside ring of buildings. A lot of times dragons are quite stupid and will get off track. This allows more time for the air defenses to take them out. I have made the mistake during war of having my base packed in, and it made it easier for the dragons to rage through the entire village, or if someone uses three lightning spells on one of my air defenses, it keeps the dragons on track and easier to wipe out those air defenses. This is best shot at trying to keep it to two stars, and obviously max defenses.
