High trophy farming

So I've been wondering how to get on with farming up in high masters, hopefully champions soon. For the last few months I've been farming in low crystals but I've recently decided to try farming up in champs or high masters. I've barched my way up and with heros I almost never lose a raid. However, getting higher and higher, I've lost a couple of raids, 45%-49%. Is there any troop comps that would work better for this? I also want a short cook time without needing to boost barracks.

Every now and again I'd cook a lavaloonion comp and 2/3* a base but it takes far too long to make the comp!

I que all my reg barracks 15 loons each. My 2 dark barracks I que 45 minions each.



When my camps say full I roll. It's usually 16-18 loons and 70-80 minions. I am in M3/M2 with this, it's not long cook time, about the same time as my GiBAM used to cook.


Not sure how this would work in M1/champs, but just today I was thinking that I kinda want to try for M1 and champs.


Highest I've been is 29xx on 1 hound, 28 loons, 30 minions and 5 WB


It was a struggle (all troops maxed) but now I have double the hero strength, so maybe it will be easier, who knows (King 25 queen 35)

I farmed in masters 2 then 1 and now champs. I use lavaloonion which takes an hour to cook unboosted. It takes a lot longer, though an unboosted barch for me was 22 mins. Most Gi-barch was 35 mins or so. Adding the 2 hounds lets me get deep into the base and hit the dark elixir.

so far I have found it great for gold and dark elixir (despite using hounds I make far more than I use). Elixir is a bit harder because of the spells. Which I have to boost to keep the build to an hour.

i have also had success with surgical loonion which takes far less spells, but is a little more unreliable.

i plan on trying to get good at the 2 star barch used by spencer23$ (look his attacks up)

Thanks, not a bad idea! I may just queue for a random number of each troop. What spells do you carry? And how many do you average per raid?

I carry 1 freeze, 2 rage, 1 heal, and 1 lightning.

Most raids I can get by with using 0 spells. On the rare occasion that I do use spells, it's usually a rage, and sometimes a rage + a freeze.

The lightning is for the CC troops, but if it's not max wiz, I don't bother and will usually just rage the pack of minions (usually 30+ minions is attacking the cc) so that they get the added bonus of rage on nearby buildings once CC is done.


I'm not looking to 100% a base, or even get the TH. Just looking for dark, and the 50. I always save 5 minions for that 45% that I am stuck on, they can get it no problems


The biggest thing is not to panic with the minions, they tend to "group" in packs, which is fine, cause there is 20+ of them per group and they just melt through things. Who cares if you lose 5-10 here and there, there's tons more all around them
