Hi, I am new to Th8. I am fully upgraded th7, even walls and resource buildings. My issue is that i tried many bases but these bases are for fully upgraded th8 and my defense is of th7.. Cannons are lvl 9 now. Soanybody who can provide me a good base which will protect my resources specifically dark elixer as I am upgrading my king and Every raid is taking ~1800 dark .
So I hope I will get a good response.

Leave your Town Hall untrapped for an easy shield, hopefully someone will snipe you. Steal more than you get stolen!! There is no defence against a decent higher level player. Look on YouTube for base layouts.
There is only 1 base i know on TH8 that will protect your DE storage and it was called Dark Desire. But dont expect it to work before you have maxed your mortars and wizard towers. TH7 defenses does not defend effective against TH9 armys. So when you are brand new in a TH, your best hope is to have your TH on the outside (and hope for a snipe) and play farming sessions between the shield times.
Please try to be a little more patient. Posting a picture would also help get you more responses. I looked at your base and it's just asking to be raided with 2 storages per compartment and so much open space. A few WB's and it's 4 easily accessible storages and your DE right there to be looted. There's quite a few threads on bases. Pick one and stick with it for a bit to see what it's good at defending against. Not every bases is perfect at defending every type of attack.
there is no layout to protect you at that level.. you will get cleaned up by max th 8 and any th 9.. just keep th outside and DE in the center to help mitigate losses.. only raid when you can do multiples in a row
If your offering more then ~1000 de to th9s expect to get hit hard and often. Farm in sessions and spend the de when you can.
TH8 especially a new one can't defend against a th9.
I thought that "The Nerd" base was pretty decent at protecting DE when I was TH8 but like everyone else said, TH7 defenses will lose pretty much every time against TH9 attacks. When I was using The Nerd, I had mostly maxed TH8 defenses
You really can't protect your DE from a th9 that really wants it. When you completely max th8, you can protect it against weak attacks, but if you see the heroes drop, bye bye DE.
Keep your cc filled with wizzys and hard to lure. Thats really your best bet.
Not really much you can do. Best bet is to keep your CC full of archers, wiz etc.. That still won't stop a powerful th9 from attacking though.
