I'm new to this game and I have no clue how to design my bade. I read guides by Flammy and he said that I should have my town hall, defense and the 2 storages inside my walls and everything else outside.

It is a bit weak. Ppl can take down the motar and win. Protect the motar
Spread out your collectors and put them around the base to offer an extra layer of protection
I'd build all of the available defensive structures. Right now, all you have are a cannon and mortar for your TH5 and no base design will protect you very well. Also, you can't expect to win against a higher TH's and with the same level TH level I'd hope for 1 star on defense.
