What you're looking at is resource hoarding. Essentially you drop so low that no one wants to go near your base because it's way to high of a level for that specific trophy range. For a TH8 I would recommend sitting around at least Silver I. Anything lower than that is a waste of time if you're attacking at all.Quote:

Sub 200 isn't great after th7, it won't match you with low level bases anymore.
Its only good for farming the farmers, but that's not easily accomplished at th8. Its also a pretty big hassle to stay at 200. You'll get better loot in gold leagues anyways.
Not sure how long you guys farmed there or if you made it below 200 but the loot is crazy for me at th9.
With this 201 won't work, you need to go to 199 and the difference is drastic!
Not sure if it is best as a TH8 as there are alot of higher lvl bases down there but you can give it a shot.
