Just left the norsk global after talking to several advanced TH10s who were touting the merits of sub-200 farming. I (like most I assume) tried sub-200 back in my TH7/8 days but it hadn't crossed my mind for a long time as a viable strategy. Now I'm aware that sub-200 farming takes long sessions farming for small amounts of loot, but is it really that good down there for a TH9/10? Thanks for your help.
never done it myself but i watched a streamer while he did and he regretted it pretty quickly and then dreaded the climb back up to champs
I have a TH8 account that I keep very low to be left alone. I originally wanted to try the sub 200 as seen on youtube to see if it was true. While it is true, I find it to be more annoying to keep your account below 200 to find those bases. When I was in masters, the second I was done playing I would get slamed. Now at the sub 200 level I get 4-8 trophy drops in a row bumping me to 240-300 trophies and maybe get slamed to finally get a shield. I am sure if you have done sub 200 farming you know it takes 20-30 minutes to drop enough trophies to find those sub 200 trophy bases. Personally I prefer Silver 1-Gold 3 area as a good area to farm. Sure I have to hit next more often but I dont have to start my playing session each time trying to get below 200, dropping 3 trophies a time. The other thing about sub 200 farming is, you may not have to hit next as often but it doesnt garantee you find FAT bases that have full collectors and storages. I rarley find that is the case as in gold 3.Quote:

and i can tell you that none of those bases looked like fun to attack! there were a few (maybe 1 in 30-50 searches) which had the potential for 600-750k loot of each type and around 2-3k dark elixer. this sounds great and all but honestly unless you go in with high level high rank troops good luck getting much of it.. the collectors are full which is nice but they are well protected usually and the storages are almost impossible to get at since these are fully maxed th 10 bases with lvl 3 inferno and max level walls (or close to it) If you want a challenge it might be ok but I have found that higher trophy will get you more loot hands down between loot bonus and easier bases.
I go down every once in awhile but I get frustrated trying to stay below 200. It is a pain like was already mentioned. Some times the searchers take forever as well. Patients is what you need to do it and get your base set up to get people to star you. This sounds easy but at that range noobs are lacking the under standing to help you out so you will still get tons of trophies from failed attacks before shields are activated. I'm near max th8 will probably keep doing it. I also found that 600 to 800 range has better turnouts with less frustrations then sub 200.
Thanks for the responses guys, sounds like I'll stay in high crystal for now for the more consistent loot and good bonuses.
