Does TH9.75 make any sense? Or even exist?

I'm a little over a month into TH10 and really regret building the new defenses (infernos, 3rd x-bow, AT, and Cannon) because it ranks me higher on the war map. If I could do it over again I would have gone the TH9.5 route.
So instead I've decided to upgrade everything that can defend air attacks. Tesla, inferno, all 4 AD, all 3 xbows and traps to Max.

I know stopping all upgrades right away would be the way to go if I wanted to be ranked really low but I want to be able to defend the best possible against air in war as this is the strongest and most popular attack atm. I also plan to finish all lvl11 walls as they don't affect ranking much (at least that's the rumor). Tempted to upgrade new AT and Cannon to th9 lvl as well but not sure about this. Also all offensive troops will be upgraded over time. So slow...

With this plan I understand I'm basically and un-maxed th10 but wondering if ya'll think this is even worth it or should I just start maxing everything.

My suggestion would be gem freeze to max and hound to lv3 or your favorite war troops combo to max.
You need to be able to 2-3 star a mid (near max) TH10.

p.s love those 4.9k gems.. the max i had was 2k from champ reward :)

That's the problem I'm running into right now. 3 stars are not possible without freezing inferno. 2 starts are even tough sometimes. So far I've been able to gowiwi my equal matchup on map for 2 stars (5th spell and 240 camp helps). I've got lvl 7 barch upgraded and working on giants right now. Getting my farming troops up first. Next is freeze to max then hound lvl3. I'm not going to gem the time of any upgrades other then my AQ time when I'm maxed on DE. She will hopefully be lvl 40 in another month.

I may just be faced with 1-2 stars in tough matchups against other th10s and maybe cleanup 3 stars on th9s with CB/Shattered Lavaloon combo

Personally i think gemming on troops upgrade is worth more than on builder's work since you have 5 builders and only one lab...

Exactly my first thought too, lol!

As to the OP, your plan makes perfect sense to me. It's not like you have anywhere to go after maxing TH10, so why not follow your plan and see how wars feel for a while? Then if you want you can just finish out the rest of the D at your leisure.

Your base is awesome, I'm super jelly.

Because you've already built all the new buildings, just max it out. I'd use all your gems on maxing out the freeze while working on your walls and defenses.

anytime you're prioritizing offense over defense makes sense. If you screwed up by building defenses too fast, upgrade them even more isn't going to help you any. So what you're calling 9.75 is just realized that you messed up and stop messing up even more.

Once you've dropped the defenses I'd agree your better off just maxing them.

Takes a long time to upgrade offense and impossible to upgrade at same rate as defense. Think I'm going to stick with my plan of maxing defenses I already started. For the time being ill keep all AT, cannons, wizz tower, and mortors at th9 levels. After inferno, tesla, xbow, and AD maxed I will wait for offensive troops to finish. Freeze will be first priority after my Giants finish. Not geming any troop upgrade times. Only thing I spend gems on is boosting and AQ time when my DE storage is maxed. Never will I ever gem resources. I have fun farming them.

The next wall grind will start soon...
