Anyone notice the A.I. is getting worse??

I've noticed the A.I. in the game has gone from bad to worse. If it can be explained to me why my AQ, will attack a wall, go to a builders hut/ barracks inside that wall, then not touch the resource storage/th right next to the other building it just destroyed, and go across the map to either attack another wall/ building that is much further away than the storage/ th it destroyed the wall to get to. Don't get me started on the incosistency of dragons. Not sure if this was intentional, but it got worse with the Christmas upgrade. I'm sure people will make contrary comments, oh well. Just something I've noticed that takes away from the fun of this game. With all the revenue being generated, please fix the horrible A.I. supercell.

I don't know that the AI has gotten worse, but I will say that the AI is horrendous. Troops of any level/type will often move further away from something to take out a non-valuable building ignoring a defense or resources that were actually closer.

A simple fix would either be a menu to set priorities for your troops or a Flare Spell similar to Boom Beach for those familiar.

The biggest issue with ranged troops is they seem to draw a straight line between where they are and the building they are going to attack next and follow that line until they are in range. So even if they could hit the building from their own side of the wall that straight line spot is often on the other.

It doesn't make the queen attack walls any less but at least I have a good feeling for when its going to happen.

Not sure I would go as far as "horrendous", but there is certainly room for improvement. For the most part it is predictable but there are the odd occasions where it does something that you know SC did not intend. For instance, the other day I had punched into the core of a base on a war attack and my AQ was attacking the TH for a guaranteed 2 star, maybe more. Some skeletons ran up and started to attack a wall between the AQ and an archer tower off to the side. My AQ stopped attacking the TH and turned to help the skeletons beat on the wall! During the time it took for the skeletons to die and the defenses to turn on my archer queen she ended up dying and the TH survived. 1 star for me because the AQ changed targets to help with a wall. Definite room for improvement.

YES I HAVE. The stupid archer queen. In the war, a member was attacking and the queen was taking down the town hall. She kept shooting the town hall, even when the barbarian king came into her "zone" and attacked the archers surrounding her. SHE KEEPS ATTACKING THE TOWN HALL. The King goes over the wall into the compartment with the town hall. Queen suddenly realizes she must destroy the king, so of course, she decides to target the wall to get to the king (who was right next to the town hall she was just destroying!) she breaks the wall, the king wanders around, AND SHE CONTINUES TO TARGET THE TOWN HALL. She doesn't kill the king until he comes over to attack her, after the town hall has been destroyed.

And then there's the dragons. Oh, the dragons. I was attacking in war with my town hall 8 account and using dragoon. The enemy king is wandering around the compartment with the town hall. The dragons never once target the king. Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice to see the dragons take out the air defenses and town hall without chasing down the king, but he was right there? I don't understand why he wasn't targeted. I didn't even have dragons from across the map be dragged over to attack him.

I'll trade you problems, I lost two stars on a war attack recently because my dragons chased the King AROUND the map ignoring air defenses and the town hall and ended up getting picked off...

I'm having all kinds of issues with wallbreakers. It's damn near impossible to get them to 2nd and 3rd levels. They often turn sideways and continually break the same level.

This weekend I had wallbreakers bust a junction on the southwest, but then ignored a closer junction and turned sideways to bust open the other side of the same compartment my Pekkas just entered. Rather than contiuning to the core they followed the path sideways and went to the southeast compartment. On a 3rd review of the replay, there was one last surviving wallbreaker who was aiming to break the outside wall of the southeast compartment!

Completely asinine for that to happen. As a result all 4 pekkas made it all the way back outside and wandered around for a 0 star when it should've been an easy 2.

Ridiculous.

I agree that some troop AIs can be quite infuriating at times, but i think it's part of the COC experience learning how to get such rebellious creatures to follow your orders (at least most of the time lol).


The only time I ABSOLUTELY cannot stand AI is when a PEKKA will abandon attacking the townhall (or anything really) to run a mini marathon to attack a skeleton that decided to K.O. an archer 8 tiles away.

PEKKA's need to stop trying to be a hero. She attacks so slowly that by the time she kills 3 skeletons spawned she has died from telsa exposure. If she manages to kill them at all.

What is a tiny skeleton with <30dps going to do to a PEKKA and her 3500 hp??

The same could be said of dragons and skeleton traps, but they have AoE dmg and attack faster. Definitely seen a dragon fly across the base to ko 3 harmless bag of bones.


PEKKA's attack speed being reduced to at least 1.5s or so would be wondeful <3
