I promise- you wouldn't get that many. Now you're just sounding self-righteous and pretentious- arguing with the simple solution to solve your problem. The only reason you're afraid of invite only is because you clan is dead, probably less than 20 members, so it likely takes an elder 4 hours to accept or decline a request.

I wish it were possible to give this idea 0 stars..

The ban button should be for the leader only. It should generate a ban list, and every ban should be reversible. Mistakes happen.

We always have been invite only. We get a couple of random join requests per week, not counting the old members wanting to return.

Oh how I wish there was no default request to join message, but a mandatory user-filled message.

Agree with this. Only the leader need ban and unban. Co-leaders (and elders?) can kick/reject with a 24 hour ban, which is sufficient. The leader should be active enough to deal with ongoing problem players.
