CC adjustable awareness circle

I propose that the awareness ring on one's CC be adjustable. that's the little white ring around the CC that shows the area that troops can trigger an opponents CC troops for those who might not know what I'm referring to.

We've all been there, war has just started....you have a mass of troops waiting to defend your Town Halls and the walls of your village to the death. The first troop hits the ground and then all of the sudd n they are being drawn to that one archer attacking a builders hut in the corner where they are ambushed by a circle of lvl 6 archers.

If we could have the option of pulling it in just a little bit, (so that these ambushes don't happen every battle), people would have to implement a little more strategy in actually beating an opponent. And the donated troops won't feel like a complete waste of troops to the person who coughed up the resources and donated.

now I wouldn't want the circle to get too small, only 5-6 squares in or so, cause if you made the circle only 3 squares for example, you could drop your CC by the TH and the few troops who were able to claw and scrape their way in to the center of the base would be pummeled by this emerging armada of force. If the ring could be brought in just a little it would force attackers to penetrate at least one wall before alerting the defending troops, thus implementing them to rethink their attack strategies: troop deployment, spell drop spots, troops brought into battle, etc.

amd It should be at the players discretion. If they want they alert ring's diameter backed all the way out, cool, it's their CC and their fighting preference. But if another player doesn't want his troops drawn out so early then he can change the alert ring accordingly.

I think this minor adjustment could have a huge impact on gameplay by adding a fresh new feel to the game and by eliminating those pesky troop ambushes that make us wonder why we even donate during war anymore.

Basically asking for unlurable cc. In some attacks, not luring cc is instant loss. An unlurable cc would be far too OP.

I like this idea. Granted, it will need things to be rebalanced, but something to improve gameplay would be great.

The tactless CC luring is lackluster and is not fun to watch as a defender and is most times a thoughtless chore for attackers. Why bother with putting in expensive troops, when ... what? 80% of the time they are lured out and killed like sheep to the slaughter with a ring of archers, or if really speical, a well placed group of wizards to zap them in a second? Yeah, that's really a high point in a raid. :rolleyes:

As I said, things would need to be rebalanced to make this a good an idea the OP feels it is, but all in all, seems like a step in the right direction.

Or the radius of the trigger could go up with CC level, based on what the average size of a base/village is, best matching what would likely be the preferred radius anyway for a given Town Hall.

Or, something that could be set from 0 (yes, zero, meaning no deployment) to 14 tiles or more, since not all bases are the same.

This won't kill luring CC troops, just require people to invest more than a few tier 1 troops, and more thought than muscle memory to deploy.

I disagree with the idea as stated, but I acknowledge the problem he points out.

The solution should always be for the person to use smart base design to avoid luring troops. At th9 and up there is no reason a person should not be able to do that, the easy ones are the defenders own fault.

But at the lower levels (arguably TH8 and certainly everything below it) there is not an option to do a base design to avoid it. Any that think me wrong please provide instructions, we could all benefit from your wisdom). So may e it should be a set 'non adjustable' size that is smaller at lower levels and increase a little each level until reaching its current size at TH9.

My th9 base was very hard to lure in its late stages too, Not impossible, but an attacker had to give up too much up front to do it. I think it has a lot to do with where in the th8 range you are. That was why I called it 'arguable' but not definite for th8. I would even be fine with leaving th8 as it is and say that what I speak of should only apply to TH7 and lower.

I think 'adjustable' would be too OP. Not good at all. Even though I would make out like a bandit on that feature I don't think it is good for the game if I make out like a bandit. That's why I was talking about set range sizes for each level. And they should still be large enough so that it takes a really good base design to avoid luring. I am talking 'possible' not 'easy'.
