allow leaders to create and assign titles to clan members
titles would not give any privileges to members like elder or co leader do, they would only serve to designate or recognize individuals
if someone is good at helping newer players they might be titled 'Trainer' or 'Teacher' or 'Advisor to Plebs'
the leader could appoint someone as 'War Leader' or 'Battle Boss' if they give good advice on tactics
good support in clan war might result in 'Hero of the Clan', 'Defender of the Realm' for one or more individuals.
of course abuse is not only possible but probable.
but I would simply not stay in a clan if the leader gave me the honorary title of 'Clan Sphincter'. I would leave and, just like rank, the title would disappear.
if I actually earned the title 'Flogger of Goblins' because I screwed up and took a gobmob to a war attack, I would (good naturedly) put up with it for a while.
anyway....just an idea...coding it would probably be more trouble than it's worth
