Alternate Map Landscape Themes

This wont really add to gameplay, but simply for visual features and additional items to unlock or purchase.

We all know what the normal map looks like. Beach on one side, three sides of trees, and grass in the middle. The War maps are volcanic and dangerous looking. And the Goblin maps take on a sort of rocky, pine forest type theme.

It would be interesting to add additional map landscapes for the player to choose from once they unlock them through some sort of achievement. Could be after a specific number of campaign missions completed, or a specific number of achievements completed, or simply available for purchase by gems.

The inner map would always be the same as we currently have (large diamond shaped area for full building availability), but the theme could simply be different. Something like a Desert Theme, Jungle Theme, Rocky Theme, Ice Theme. Anything like that.

Would anyone else be interested in this sort of addition to the game?

It's a good idea, in fact SEE had a waterfall in the background in the early stages of the game. It was eventually removed because it ate up too much data. Imagine how much data two new skins would take then. It's just one of those things that's unfortunately unlikely to happen.

Yeah, the movement requires more data storage which induces lag on lower storage devices... The amount of lag would either make the game unplayable or it wouldn' become fun for people to play due to lag...
