I can buy a Google Play card at the grocery store, add the funds to my Google Play account, but when I try to buy gems in CoC the Google Wallet service demands a thorough identity verification process. Google wants all sorts of personal information which I simply refuse to give to them: bank statement, drivers license, social security, home address.
So... is there some way to get around this? Add funds with an itunes card? Move my village to a different Google Wallet email address? Somehow get Google to CHILL THE **** OUT about demanding all my private banking information (its an absolutely identity theft risk to give all my private info to some invisible Google clerk in some foreign country... you've got to be kidding me Google!).
I've contacted SC through the game already, but maybe someone here has suggestion as well. My village is 2 1/2 years old and I'm very invested in it, so I'm not interested in starting over or something.
