"Usually"? Goodness, how often do you contact them?
I have contacted them only once in 2 years, to report a racially offensive farm name I found in the DD. Don't recall how long a reply took, maybe 3 days, which is pretty decent turnaround for a noncritical issue.
I suspect that like many support teams they do their best and sometimes have a hard time of it, untangling a big bunch of user errors and duplicate tickets along with genuine problems. It has only been 5 days, and there was an update very recently, so it is likely they are simply backlogged and if you sit back patiently I am sure they will get to you in your turn.
I have seen an increase in bugs and other issues on here so I'm guessing the amount of tickets has also increased thus causing a delay in replying to your ticket.
I could do without the snarky remarks tomville. There have been many issues and problems i have had with the game. You have no idea why i contacted them. Your post is not helpful at all. No response within 5 days is ridiculous. As for offensive farm names if you dont like the name dont read it.
Except it's hard to avoid seeing an offensive farm (which are prohibited per TOS, BTW) when you click on a flagged ad & the word is spelled out with shrubs across half the farm. It's childish, needless, & likely done for shock value. Why else would someone flag a tree for help, only to welcome that help with a big F... U message? My response is 'Same to ya!' by filing a report, & moving on in the small hope no one else gets subjected to the same tasteless surprise.
Beyond the two or three times of instances like that, I've contacted SC twice in 2 years about game issues. The first time it took them 3 months (from Oct. to Dec.) to get back to me; the second time it took 6 weeks (from April to mid May). Both times I got an identical response saying sorry that my support ticket/e-mail had gotten 'lost' in their system. IMO any answer in less than 10 days to 2 weeks is a minor miracle.

How many times have you contactec them? I thought that was a fair question. I also wondered the same thing from your original post. You made it sound like you contacted them a great number of times. Tomville seems to not have any issues with his farm to contact them. Neither have I. So i was surprised that someone would have such issues. Not snarky, just curious.
Getting a resonse in 48 hours is remarkable, from what the other posters on this forum have said. It also depends on your issue. Those who have suspicious farm activity have a very long wait, number of weeks, before they get a response.
For someone who seems to be offeneded easily, to tell tomville not to read offensive names was dripping with irony. Thanks for the chuckle.

Re the one I reported so long back now, actually it didn't offend me personally, it was just was highly unpalatable. For the curious, I am white Anglo and what I reported via the in-game system was a farm name comprising a nasty slur about Asian players that nobody needed to see or stumble across shopping for carrots in the DD, the way I had found it.
Yeah, the commentary on how frequently OP may or may not contact support totally derailed the thread. Posters in this section come here with a problem and are likely a stressed out and focused on getting solutions. And looking through and posting something from OP's forum history over such a nothing-issue seems another unnecessary distraction.
Re: the original question... since support changed where you can converse with them in-game, I've contacted them about three times. I usually get a response within three days.

I simply asked a question. There is no need to ridicule me for how many times i have contacted them. I contacted them 7 days ago and no response. I thought maybe there was some sort of bug and they weren't getting the messages.
Please stop the arguing and get back to the topic, which is how long Support takes to reply.
There is no way of knowing how long Support takes to reply...could be 24 hours, could be a week, could be longer depending on how swamped they are, which is probably pretty deep at the moment. Just hang in there.
If one sees something in a farm name or layout that one finds offensive and the TOS says it is a violation, report it. If one is not offended, don't report it, but don't begrudge those who do nor tell anyone they shouldn't. Reporting, as wisely stated, "is the correct thing to do to for the benefit of others".
Not out of context? To go looking through old posts and then provide a link to a totally irrelevant discussion in order to stereotype the OP as a bad person? We have no idea about Lisalan's life, and I don't think it's right to judge her in this manner and to drag up past posts in order to turn people against her. Just answer her question without questioning her playing or her personality.

I contact sc so often I think they do "paper, rock, scissors" to see who gets to be the (un)lucky one to answer my question. I am very fortunate that only on occasion have I ever waited longer that 3 days for a response. I am polite when I write them, however I can be snarky if the occasion calls for it.
There is an old expression "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar". Be patient but if your patience is at an end, write back.
