Idea for when a player leaves after being locked into war...

Hello clashers! I'm looking for feedback, this is the kind of idea that will polarize players...

When a player leaves during prep day (for good) What if the unused attacks could be claimed by other teammates?

Very important qualifier:

The two players MUST be ranked lower than the player who left (otherwise the #1 and #2 guys will take the raids)

Your thoughts, your questions?

How about we just kick anyone that joins any clan while still in prep day with another clan, 24 hour freeze out unless you know them

I actually like this kind of idea for once! That way the person isnt really punished (meaning it isnt ruled out) and the clan isnt affected. :thumbsup:

I made a post that discourages hoppers, i think if there was some type of exit fee, lets say 50k gold to leave a clan and 100k to leave a clan while your in war, this would discourage players from hopping clan to clan

i dont agree with the cost if you are not in war, but during war yeah i like it

I still think that guys should stop looking at how to deal with hoppers after the problem happens and instead get smarter about protecting themselves so that the problem never happens in the first place. Every time I see someone saying they get burned by hoppers I know I am looking at another poorly run clan. Sorry, but true.


But I will admit that if the attack can only be used by a lower member (and if its bottom guy then attacks are lost but bottom guy hurts less) the OP has addressed most of the abuse problems we usually see in these suggestions.

you are assuming things based on your own experience, hoppers are often high leveled players who just dont like the clan, its often the guy who has been around for a few wars and has got fed up. on the other hand hoppers can be kids that dont understand wars, and dont like being directed by a leader, this is not something that can be known beforehand, and you may be in an established clan that gets high traffic and people may be hoping to stay in your clan, other clans are starting out and require a core team to help build it up first, and this becomes a problem since those players are less likely to stay if the clan is not already established,

i can direct the worst player into a victory without much trouble, but when it comes to getting a clan full with constantly active players some weeks are better than others, the last two wars we had were 93 17, and 110 30, but we only used half our attacks, at least 20 members didnt attack even once, 7 of those left during prep day, now we won easily but why would any player leave easy loot, 49 attacks used out of 90, and they could have just barched some easy wins, but they prefered to leave the clan rather than use a few archers to get 50 percent

OK fair enough, I probably am. But part of my hopper protection is that I don't have guys getting fed up. if that is happening then there are bigger problems there with the clan. Another sign of good or bad leadership is whether the clan is a place where everyone is enjoying themselves or if guys are thinking the heck with this and just going.

We really don't lose guys at all, during war or even in between. We keep things always on good terms and the few times guys have wanted to move off to a friends clan or something they simply announce that they are in their last war then go after.

because I make everyone spectate a couple wars that has prevented newbies coming and leaving which is one of the biggest thing that might make a longer standing player get fed up and pull some stunt themselves.

So I still think quality management is the fix. if it is being practiced in all aspects it does not have these problems even starting in the first place.

yes but i wager your clan has been around longer than a year or so? mine is relatively new, 5 months or so, its getting better, i now have around 30 core members, but we war constantly, probably should have mentioned that before, anyway we say constant war, because we founded the clan on that basis, we didnt want to be in clans with leaders who didnt war often. and we want players who feel the same way, now we get loads of new members and they seem ok with constant war at first, but after a week they just up and leave, no reason why, just leave and join new clans, they fought in like 4 5 wars they did ok, we won so they got lots of loot, but they just leave

we don't allow players in the clan who leave during prep day, cos obviously they are a massive red flag

and we let people get away with missing the odd war as long as they are active for the next war

we don't judge people on performance and offer to help people struggling

and we don't throw new members into war right away

but still we get hoppers

I'm not even bothered if they all tank i just want to use all the attacks, im like a stickler for perfection
