Night attacks would be tough!
I really like this idea you have.
It could make all the difference of when someone started a war as well as decide when to attack in a war.
Night attacks would be tough on both Sides.

Definitely. But the Night troops are slightly weaker than regular troops but are perfect to counter structures and defenses that are meant for defending the base at night. So it would be a sacrifice for the attacker as well. As for the defender, it is hard but with the right structures, it could be fine as well. So then again, it's all really all about planning and timing with a bit of luck. :)

I wonder if SUPERCELL is reading this and whether they will some how contact me to say that this IDEA is being put into consideration or if it's being RULED OUT.
I have seen some ideas out there regarding New Spells and New Heroes. For me those things can wait. Those are just additional things that gives a player 1 extra hero or spell. What i'm going for is a completely new point of view in which the time of attack can actually be the deciding factor. Who knows. Some players might be really good with Night Raids.

The Dark Knight (New Hero idea)
Well since my idea is about adding the night into the game, then let me talk about a Hero whose name is known world wide, "Dark Knight" but rest assured, he will not look like batman.
His appearance is actually inspired from a Warcraft character called the Lich King or Abadon.
For me he is the best example of how a dark knight would look like. I made him a little more colorful to suit the clash of clans theme more.
About this Hero:
Blinded by Dark Elixir he is filled with hunger for destruction. His blade drips with dark elixir.
Just like any other Hero in clash of clans, he charges into Battle, destroying anything in its path.
The path he leaves behind bares the mark of dark elixir.
Details:
level 1
Damage is 130 (hits slightly stronger than the barbarian king at level 1)
Health is at 1450 (250 less than the barbarian king)
movement is 20 (slightly faster than the barbarian king and slightly slower than Hogs)
Just like the Hogs he can jump over walls but unlike the hogs, he has no specific target. He will attack whatever is closest.
Regeneration time is 1 hour and a half? 2 hours? (not sure cause I am still new in coc and only have a barbarian king)
His special skill also requires a sacrifice of elixir or dark elixir depending on whether you set him as an Air or Ground unit.
At level 7 he unlocks a skill allowing the user to change him from Ground to Air unit.
(Turning his horse into a Pegasus or dragon)
as an Air unit, his movement speed decreases to 16 (same of that as a dragon).
The secondary skill he has is triggered in battle.
When the Dark Knights HP drops to 10% a black lightning will strike in a 4 tile radius and summon 2 smaller dragons that are level 1-2 on the random spot.
as a Ground unit, the Dark Knight summons 3 hogs riders level 1-2 at a 4 tile radius.
this might seem over powered but do keep in mind, this is a TH9 hero that will cost 8-10m Gold, 8-10m elixir and 50-70k dark elixir to make.
but of course this is just an idea and you guys could help me balance him if he seems too overpowered or if I should make him stronger.
I did my best to think of a way where he is not over powered.
