So I've seen villages worthy of bans, with spelled out obscenities, graphic anatomical designs etc...
but my war base merely said 'eff u China army' no actual curse words involved, no walls in the shape of genitalia
and my base design was simply in response to them sending over spies during war...which should be a bannable offense btw
I ask you all....is 'eff u China army' really worthy of a 48 hour ban?
and is there some sort of review or appeal process? If not there should be
Yep I see it as deserved. You are using a derogatory statement directed at someone. Putting it that was is no better than just out right saying it. Nothing you can do. Serve your time and don't do it again simple as that.
Simulated swearing is treated as real swearing. You might as well have spelled out f u. Enjoy your ban, you deserved it.

Don't use your base to communicate. In fact, it's safest not to communicate with your opponent at all.

ETA: we exchanged messages with specifics on the base, so it was not just a generic response from SC.
All I'm saying is I've seen seriously offensive bases, mine is vanilla in comparison

You asked for our opinion, and you got it. However, it seems like you were just looking for a bunch of people to agree with you.
You deserve the ban but it doesn't matter what any of us think. We're not the ones giving out bans. In the future, don't try to communicate or be cute with the other clan, be it with walls or your clan message. Problem solved.
this guy just does not get it. yes horse ♥♥♥♥ is swearing. what you have to do is think would i like my 5 yr old son/daughter to shout that at me. if the answer is no(as most reasonable parents think) then dont do it.
i stuck 2 fingres up at my dad when i was about 3 he wasnt happy. think of your dad as super cell.

Why are you accepting clan members during war preparation anyway? Seems to me you should be mad at yourself and not the other clan, who were playing within the rules of the game. They got the better of you and you respond by acting offensively, wonder why you get banned and obviously learned nothing from it.
By the way you can play in to the spy strategy by having two bases saved with different locations of traps. Seems to me a better strategy than yours.

we've all seen worse bases not get a ban, I'd like to know where the arbitration comes from, as well as why no warnings and no appeals are in effect

These cases are ridiculous.
This is why players suggest, reporting non offensive bases has now become a clan war strategy. And that it seems if enough people complain, you get your base banned automatically without even having SC check out your layout.
This doesn't apply to your case.
Next time don't write "F**** Y**" in your clan description, BECAUSE "eff u" MEANS EXACTLY THAT.
My arguement is exactly that I didn't say the actual profanity, maybe it was inferred maybe not, but it was absolutely not broadcast...
there is nothing inherently profane in the term 'eff u' how people choose to view it is up to them, but it is not a curse word, bottom line
