For me personally there is still a lot of work to do, most of my units are max TH9 except for valks, minions and healers and dark spells. Heroes same story, but taking babysteps to meet the max.
The problem is when attacking in CW i seem to mess up stuff and fail to 3star what could have been. Sometimes it's the upper part of my screen not working for some reason (playing on Samsung Galaxy S5), the other time it's for example dropping my giant - hogs and forgetting to use hero's abilities or just plain dropping stuff to late or early and having a hard time even getting the one star.
As a TH8 I had no problems getting 3 stars with gowipe/dragons or a variation, but it seems I'm stuck on progression now. I've joined my 2nd clan in my clashlife a few months ago hoping to achieve this progression and adding value as a TH9 but so far it's a let down. Just wondering if you ever encountered similar struggles and what you would advice?
The first clan was casual, took me in when I was still a baby to the game and just war every other day. I had a hard time leaving them because I was there over a year and I consider myself to be a loyal player. When I went to TH9 I've started to understand an read so much more that I tried for several months to get them with me. To bad that did not work out and it was time for me to move on. The time spending in that clan got my quite a few warstars, but in the end it says nothing as it doenst represent anything except you are willing to participate in wars.

So i was curious now that i maxed out my th9 golems ( level 4 ) if that affects my choices with attacks now.
I always went penta or coldblooded, depending on the base, but always found that i couldnt get 3 stars on max th9 bases, always found that i didnt have enough firepower. However, until my golems were set, i couldnt do a proper ground attack.
Now that my ground troops are mostly up to par, i was wondering what the most effective ground attacks tend to be.
Im seeing a lot of gohowiwi, but i have struggled with that the few times i tried it.
any advice of ground attacks, and what tends to be the most effective on max th9's
(sadly, my heroes are bk 10 and aq on the way to 13, so those arent really where they should be yet )

Download a drawing tool like "Skitch" or "You Doodle" and draw out your plans! Then share them with your clan on a chat app like "GroupMe" or "Kik" and have them give you feedback. Hey pyrostormz! Your biggest issue are your royals. Max TH9's require... oh I'd say 17/17 royals if you're going to 3-star them on a consistent basis.Quote:

The communication is something I would like to use within a clan as well, except most of them know eachother in RL, have a groupapp and come from the same city. For them there is no need to use an outside game app and it's also a relatively small clan, 25ish members and mostly doing 10 - 15 wars. Joined them after explaning myself about the struggles and looking for a clan who can help me grow while I still perform. Hopefully I can still achieve this but so far it's so and so. I'm not a hopper, loyal type a guy so not giving up yet. Also my heroes are upgrading constantly which leaves me to sit thumbs twitching haha.
Concerning the heroes, I guess that comes with experience. You're right about sometimes it's just plain chaos and that is also the point of me starting second phase to early/late or what not. Example from a few wars back - Golaloon the base with my king being upgraded. Took out 2 AD, AQ, Some wiz and archer towers and was like wow smooth. And then I messed the loon part up that I had to use 2 archers to get one star. Can you imagine I was like eerm how is that even possible haha.
