Add manual trigger for Golem and Lavahound burst

Picture this: You're raiding with a lavaloon army, turns out to be overkill. You brought 4 hounds and all 4 survived the destruction of defenses. You now have 120 troop capacity contributing relatively no DPS, and your best hope is maybe on of them flies into a mine.
Or: You have a golem swinging away at a multitarget inferno that is destroying wizard after wizard within the area. The inferno is down to a quarter of its health but your golem is nowhere near death and the multitarget inferno won't be destroying it anytime soon. If only your golem would die, it could destroy the inferno tower and save your wizards.
Solution: Add an option to tactically self-destruct golems and lavahounds. The trigger could be like what is used for hero abilities and would do all lavahounds or all golems at once. Of course, whatever remaining health they have left would be forfeited, so it does have to be a tactical decision.
Looked around and didn't find any suggestions like this, so I guess that means its either stupid or not desired. Comments please?

This actually seems like a decent idea. I like this, it would be a strategic decision that would have to be timed right, and used at an effective time. It would give the attacker attacker the ability to explode their Lava Hounds into Lava Pups or their Golems into Golemites if they needed to, with a trade off of losing the rest of the health, of course. :)

My only problem with the idea is that it doesn't seem realistic to just make a troop 'explode' at a random time. Apart from that, it seems like a good and unique idea. :)

Also, just a quick question, what if the attacker had only placed down 2/3 Golems for example; would there still be a button to explode the ones already out? And if so, could you use the button once for each Golem potentially? :confused:

Thanks for the feedback! And specifics would be up to Supercell in how they'd want to implement it. Also, imagine a kamikaze type thing for the golems and an impromptu c-section for the lavahound, lol. But whether or not they'd want to make it on an individual troop basis (possibly tap the troop itself, instead of from the deploymend menu?) or all troops at once would depend on how complicated they want to make it.

Would make lavaloonion far more successful. ... exact release of pups, within rage spells.......

Yeah. Maybe you could attach dynamite to their backs:facepalm: The whole point of attacking is to not go to overkill, and not too under kill. You need to plan perfectly, and this would make attacking easier and a lot less realistic.

Manual trigger for lavahounds and golums. Yes!


After releasing all lava hounds, and after another 5 sec for safety, another press on the lavahound button should trigger conversion to pups, just the same as you trigger King and Queen rage.


Would make lava hounds overpowered? They are already underpowered for their cost and DPS per HS.

This is the first time I've seen this idea. It does seem interesting, and I could see it happening.

Although there is a problem when you have multiple golems/lavahounds, and you only need one of them to split, by using your idea, all of them will split, wasting the troops (unless you could suggest an idea to solve that problem)

Funny, yes, but they explode to be weak. Trigger them before the ATs and Xbows are down and the explosion of pups may as well be considered an evaporation.

Brilliant idea! Unlike other ideas, this one would be balanced because it comes at a risk of losing the troops' health, as you stated :)

This will change the attack style on CoC definitely, but in my opionion in a fun way.

Doesn't seem to fit the model of clash in my opinion (effectively manual control of troops), plus there is no way to manually achieve this (unless all pop at the same time, which is probably what you meant).

Also managing this is a part of strategy, if your hounds aren't popping then you have done it wrong. No reason to implement your fix.

Commend the somewhat original idea though:)

I like this idea as well - 2nd really good idea of the day I have seen. Its creative and adds a strategic element to the game that I think think really makes anything OP.

Not every high level troop should have a transition, but...

* PEKKA should have a trigger to allow her to throw away the armour and reveal the inner valkyrie. A dead PEKKA would not produce a valkyrie; an injured PEKKA would transition into an injured valkyrie (keep same percentage damage).

* Dragons should give one last, low damage, but wider area, flame throw on death. Much like balloons do.

* The witch should turn into one last skeleton (her own) on dying.

It has already changed, with Hero rage.

Also, generally speaking, the inability to change is a prelude to death. What they have to avoid is making things complex at low levels. High level troops with manual triggers don't confuse beginners.

I really like this!!! But it kinda seems weird to have a troop just burst at a random moment...
