TH9 in Champs

Hey guys.

My clan is about to push, and in a few weeks I'll be all out of elixir upgrades, and in desperate need of dark elixir. I've been farming really successfully in Gold 2, but the dark elixir isn't that great. I want to push, but how far should I go? How crazy would a TH9 have to go to make it to champs? I barch about an hour a day during the week, but I guess if I cook armies that take two hours to make I could attack during the day. Would I have to gem my barracks?

My BK is 10, and AQ is 7. Should I upgrade my queen to 8, or save up for golems to 2, since I gowipe. I'm gonna unlock lavahounds soon though. Should I just push to C1 and be happy? Or is champions a moderately attainable goal? I'm a really unexperienced pusher, so advice is appreciated.

Champs is very possible for TH9 using loonion or lavaloonion. They are slow-cook armies though so you probably have to play in boosted sessions for the best effect.

You can use cheaper and faster ground armies such as barch or giant-based armies until about start of M2 or so, then it becomes pretty hard to win consistently with that and you need to switch to air.

The last 100 cups are the hardest; one loss sets you back a lot. Get some practise early using loonion for 1-star on TH10s if you have never used it before. The most important skill is base selection - you gotta recognize what bases can be looned for 1 star (preferably using as few spells as possible) and which cannot.

I did it. It's not that hard. Base selection is key. Play in boosted sessions and keep your TH out.

2 hounds, 20 loons, 30 mins. 1 zap and 3 rage spells.

I barched to 3096 trophies, only used balloons when I cooked them overnight. I could have madder to champions but. Got really bored of pushing so I dropped to farm.

I got to champs last night as Th8.5 (Th9 without xbows). Had been at 3000 trophies for a while, just farming DE with the massive loot bonus that you get. Then last night, sitting at 3120 something trophies, I got 86 trophies in 32 minutes without boosting, all offense. This is completely legit, no lie. I use lavaloonion. It's a safe army & fairly easy to use. 2 hounds, 20 loons & 30 minions with 4 rage spells. I'm continously putting AQ down to uograde and have Bk at lv10. For the cc, you can get loons, but I'm not too fussy and just get arch & wiz, as they are a standard donation in most clans. Btw, for base, just keep your Th out & needs to be fairly anti air proof.

Im a th8.5 as well! 😃 and im going to push to champ as well! Once i get my loons to lv6 i think ill be fine. Ive hit masters at th8 before so not a problem.

So heres my plan: barch up to crystal 2. After crystal 2 theres a huge decrease in th8s (imo) and th7s. Thats when i will start looning and slowly making my way up to champs.

The problem i had in masters push was that you have to find the right base. for example, id get tired of waiting 15 mins or so to make a complete barch army so once the camp is half way full id go atk and try to snipe those th's that are usually trapped. Dont do it. Its just a waste of trophies and losing 20-30 trophies can really destroy your confidence.

I'm a th9 in champs as well, getting there takes not too much time but the most important thing is to spend a lot of time to find a base. If you're using balloonion you rather want to search half an hour for a snipe instead of 5 minutes for a risky 50% raid. On your way to champs you will get a lot of DE because of the loot bonusses and when you're in champ you will start makeing even more!

I would really advise you to go there and have a look at it yourself!

Is there a better time to do it as a th9? Right now, I have max loons, level 4 minions, and NO lavahounds. Should I wait until I get hounds or forget them and just use loonion? I'd barch my way up to Crystal two or something.

Also, I'm far from a max th9. I have all wt max, an xbow max, and the other going to 3.I usually have 3-4 defenses and an elixir upgrade working at a time. Will this make a difference or will I get smashed either way in crystal one or masters? My heroes are also pretty weak, BK 10 AQ 7.

If I pentaloon, how am I going to get that much de? Is it not an issue with league bonus? I'm usually pretty low on de. Right now I have 40k, but I'm not sure if I should upgrade AQ to 8, minions to 5, or save up for golems to 2, since I usually use them in wars with no hounds. Thoughts?

Champion is not hard for th9.
