Strategy Hut

You know, I never really put much thought into this, since everyone else kept citing it as an unfair advantage, and Supercell does ban people using code cracked game mechanics for sandbox modes, but the reasoning for those doesn't match up.

Supercell bans people that modify thier code, not necessarily banning people for the 3rd party feature.

Things will be more fair if everyone has access to the same thing. If this were an in-game feature, everyone has it. If it were meant to simulate things, from revenge targets and war bases, then people aren't going to modify a 'close enough' feature to do the same.

Also, if this was an in-game feature to do raid planing, then the demand for 3rd party cracked mods would be sharply reduced. Why go through the trouble of going through all the steps to possibly compromise your device for a fun feature and maybe an unfair advantage, when it is already something built into the game to a large degree and without the unfair advantage, and basicly won't get you banned if caught?

Planing will improve your chances, but it will not guarantee success. Murphy's Law has long since declared this... and reconfirmed many times.

If done right, this could also help with the overall ability of people's raiding and defence layouts, by also giving practice plans and lessons. If people feel like they are more competent (and may only feel competent :smirk:) and know there are more options, gameplay is improved, and things feel less boring and in a rut.

Ignorance of more options can easily cause people to leave, incorrectly saying there is nothing else to do. Some say good riddance (stupid noob Lol) but that's against what Supercell wants. SC wants as many people playing as possible, so fixing this perception problem will help maintain a large playerbase... Which is why it is on the possible featues list.

Don't make this simulator too advanced, so there is no need to disable it for war because it cannot be used to simulate attacks against an enemy base in revenge or war.

A hut would be odd.

Shouldn't need a new building for this, just make it a part of the Town Hall or something (Town Hall is currently kind of useless anyway, right? :smirk:)

Also, when getting a layout of a base to plan against, you don't get the trap locations (unlike some cracked programs which grab that info), and instead get the expected traps for that Town hall level as yet-to-be-placed things to put on your planing table. That way you can put them in where you think they would be, and later in war, you can actually put what was found out in other attacks.

It would be stripped down to graphic 'miniatures', and would have 'turns' to represent of some odd seconds of an actual battle. These turns could be the stripped down combat processes. There are many reasons for this. A couple of which are...

• Reduce server load, (assuming it does require the server) since now people are going to be doing several mock runs before doing the actual fight. Stripping down many of the extra stuff (if possible) that is required for normal raids would speed things up for everyone.
• Prevent totaly predicability by running a simpler system. Not only would it reduce the processing load, but would still preserve some exciting unknowns to the actual battle. You can plan and scheme all you want, but realistically you can't take into account all factors. In turn, nor should the planning table be able to do this. To help simulate this, and keep the game fun, it shouldn't run some of the finer details the actual raid runs. Also, this should be heavily warned that this is the case, since people will start blaming thier planning table for giving them wrong info (like how some real life war planners blame anyone but themselves for a failure due to a small, but important, factor).
