I was recently looking on Youtube. There seems to be a lot of Balloonion and GoWiPe. I'm not sure why, but I had the idea of combining them. I was wondering if there was already a strategy like this, and if so, what does the troop comp and strategy look like?
Yeah there is a strategy like that .. it's called Golaloon !
I use this strategy to 3 star a semi to maxed th9. .
My composition is 1 Golem in cc , 3 lavas , 16 loons , rest wiz (deloy them and heroes behind the golem to take down arch queen and 1 ad ).

So what if I'm town hall 8? I can't get lava hounds... do I just do it with out the lava hounds?
U can take loons as a clean up army , when ur gowipe hits the center u can deploy loons or hogs to take out outside defenses .. which is rather good for a th8 against th8 :)
You might be thinking of GoLoWiPe which is traditional gowipe that uses backend loons to clean up

GoVaLo:
Gollies to distract, valks to destroy core with all AD in it, and loons for all other defenses.
GoLoWiPe: Basic gowipe with back-end loons.
HoLo: 2 variations. Either use loons on outside first and destroy all outside defenses and let hogs rampage core, or funnel hogs in first thing, get all air defenses and then let loons take outside defenses.
These are all the hybrid troop combos you will basically ever use in th8 as a legitimate attacking strategy.
