Switch Easily Between Clans

As far as I know, my Idea is Unique, and has not been ruled out yet.

I have noticed that my Clashers (In my clans, me, in global), have multiple clans that they hop between, because they have established themselves into those different clans. However, every time that someone hops a clan, everything they had (Donations, Rank) disappears. They also risk losing their place in the clan, miss out on anything that happens while away, and labeled as disloyal.

A fix that I propose is that in the "My Clan" tab, there be a button that allows you to switch between 2-3 clans. You would preserve your rank, ratio, and place in the clan. On your profile, it would declare that you are a member of those clans just as it says currently for the one clan you can be part of. In the Clan interface, you will show up in both clans. While being raided, it would show the clan that you had last switched to. You also cannot be raided by a member of either one of the clans that you are part of. As for war, you will be entered in it only if you had switched to that clan before the search had started and stayed until the search was conducted. You cannot be in more than one war at once. In this system, there is not really as urgent of a need to have a Feeder/Family Clan system in place, as you can switch between them if you have been admitted before. The donation ratio you accumulate while in the clans should add together, to avoid having to create a separate Donations section. If you leave the clan yo are currently in, you will automatically be moved to the other Clan(s) you are in, based on which one you were switched to last. Pressing the "Leave" button will actually make you leave the clan as normal, and you will not be able to switch between it anymore, unless readmitted.

As a side note, this feature could be integrated with the newly implemented Bookmarking system.

THIS IS NOT A SYSTEM THAT GROUPS CLANS
With this system, a Player may switch at will between different clans and still maintain their statistics, and be a proud part of their favorite Clans. Please point out any and all flaws in this Suggestion. I will appreciate it.

Dang. Hadn't thought of it. What do you think? It could make Feeders more 'Official', but at the same time, it doesn't seem like a good Idea. I'll see what the majority thinks.

This is a good concept. Woud it not be better to have the clan linking thing implemented (under the consideration list) and so if you are a member of a linked clan you can move freely to any of the other clans and keep your rank etc. (Even leader?) If they did this should the clan group then have a president? (as long as its not Obama) This would be one of the ;eaders of course.

Would it be better that a person has to have rank before they can move between clans? That way a spy cant get to a war clan by joining the staging clan and jumping over real quick.

Note - I actually like the idea (now promoting one of my own) that a person joining stays 'new' until promoted to member. 'new' cannot see traps etc and in your case cannot jump to war. (If anyone wants to discuss this one more fully find my thread (its pretty old now) and discuss it there. Leave this one to the OPs topic.)

You'd be pretty ignorant if you did not notice the recruit is also a member of the enemy clan. Just saying.
The clan linking thing says its for family or feeder clans, so this is different in my opinion. This would be universal, and be somewhat different from that. It's also not really a "clan group". It's more of a personal clan membership-pass-thing.

I must admit- this is a fair idea. But i'm having trouble seeing the mechanics of how it would actually work..

For example: can someone just join from a "linked" clan? Do they Request to join? What if the clan is closed? I don't think their elder / co status should carry over?


On the other hand, I personally believe a players donation stats should carry over for the entire season, even if they go to a new clan.

No, the clans aren't "linked" in a sense. You have a sort of backstage pass, allowing you to not reapply to the clan over and over, and if the clan is closed, you are still a part of the clan, as my original post says. Their Rank does not carry over from a different clan, but it IS saved for when they return.

I'm Probably Going to Edit it to be more Reader-Friendly Tomorrow. I think Some Miscommunication is Occurring.

Eh, I just browsed the Forums, Saw nothing on the topic, drew from personal experiences, and did what I felt needed to be done. (As you can see in my Sig, I'm part of my main clan, its feeder, my Friend's clan, and the esteemed Savage Seven Family. Gets messy.)

Aren't Public Polls Supposed to show who voted for what? It doesn't show for me.:(

Agreed on the 'ignorant' thung. I have not pity for guys that come around crying about spies anyhow. 9I let them, chat them up, let them take all the pictures they want of the decoy bases we have out on prep day, watch them and their clan screw up later when the pictures lied to them)

Also, fair enough on I being something different. I got confused where it said this would be a group of 2-3 clans. My apologies.

I think if you are a 'member' of one clan s that you do not lose rank etc.. if visiting another there should be a restriction that you can only have that status with one clan at a time. Guys cannot go hopping around the web collecting memberships. (and that can work with feeders too, everyone has the one they are rooted in, but they can visit others)
