I'm in Crystal II ,but I get wrecked every other attack. I can't stand searching for 30 minutes just to find one TH to snipe. I'm a TH8 ,and I need to get 25k DE to upgrade my Hogs. I don't care for losing elixir I have 4 mil that I'll spend freely ,but I hate waiting for armies to be ready. Any useful advice or a link to a guide?
The most efficient way to loot is to BAM (barbs, archers and minions) full army every 13 minutes... Take a look at this:

your a townhall 8 why are you in crystal 2? just go down to gold 3 and barch farm. use lightning spells if you have spare elixer to spare

I would say yea, g1 to c3 would be ideal, c2 or c1 has hard bases. Look for collector raids, follow the guide I sent you.
The bonus of crystal league is good. You can try to 50% the base by clearing outside buildings.
Quickest way to get DE? Gem it.
Zap it with lightning spell, it only take 1 second to release the spell, very very quick
