I am currently a town hall 8 but may move on to town hall 9 pretty soon. I am wondering if X bows are worth it to get. They need to be reloaded but are very powerful defenses. Please give me your opinion on whether x bows are good defenses to buy or not. Thanks Attachment 103963
Yes you will want all your defenses but I don't think they need to be as high a priority as many people make them.
Probably the biggest strength of xbows is their intimidation factor against farming armies. Biggest weakness is the weighting they carry in war.
Yes worth it. And like webbie said, not the highest priority for defense upgrades at TH9. Going back, I would have done Wiz towers, teslas, and then xbows.
Offense before defense. Upgrade your troops to th9 levels before you get the xbow.
I got them right away and that led to a mis match in war for a while
If you are a big war player, then wait to make the xbows until you have gotten your offense to a good location for th9. Xbows are very heavily weighted in matchmaking, so if you make the right away then you will most likely get matched with people whom your offense can't handle.
Xbows are great defenses special at lvl3+. But you dont want to rush your base in order to get them. Believe me.
max your defenses first, you haven't max them yet. xbow is worth getting if you have max defenses defending it, don't rush to get them because farming will be harder in townhall 9.
