Barbarian King and Archer Queen Upgrades

Ok first of I would like you to know that I am fine with the fact that it takes a builder to upgrade the BK and AQ. I am even ok with the progressively longer build times for these upgrades because it gives you something to keeps striving for. The thing though that I think needs to change though is not being able to use your heroes while they upgrade. I can see not using your barracks while upgrading because the total upgrade time is insignificant in the time it takes to upgrade to max. For each hero it will take 227.5 days to upgrade to max so that is 227.5 days not being able to use your hero. I'm not asking to reduce the days taken but please allow us to use them while they upgrade.

Sorry, but it doesn't seem realistic, i mean it doesn't magically happen, like walls need a builder. If your army relies on your heroes so much that you need to use them during upgrading, then you might want to rethink your army.

I see your point but it is like any other upgrade. You cant use your WT when its upgraded. But losing your BK should not leave u handicapped because you still have a full army plus CC.:confused:

Well so far I have upgraded my Bk from lvl 1-10 constantly maybe using him two-five times in between upgrades. I do not need him, he does not make or break raids but he is fun to use every hour and half when he is up. Thinking about not being able to use a hero for 227.5 days sounds like punishment to me just for upgrading him. Yes it becomes a significant achievement to get a hero all the way to lvl 40 without gems but it can still be the same achievement being able to use them while they upgrade.

Awesome Idea

The builder sets up his blacksmith shop at their altar already. So, why can't he just be 'honing their gear' and they stay awake? If I ever get a new pair of shoes, I don't need to be knocked out to have them put on. Maybe they can have a loaner weapon while the builder smiths their new toys. I would be cool with them being easier to defeat without their personal weapons during their upgrade time.

Yeah I don't understand why heroes need to be knocked out while a blacksmith works on armor and another thing I would like to add is that if you think about it when you upgrade troops you can still train them and use them.

Your defenses are knocked out while the builders upgrade them... And logically the heroes should be treated the same... Troops can still be trained because they aren't being affected. Your using the lab "researching" their skills... The idea to help your thoughts would be to move the upgrade of heroes into the lab. Then you could use them at their last completed upgrade level while the next level is being "researched" similiar to wartime upgrades... They revert to last completed upgrade for wartime... Hope that makes a little sense...
