I'm trying to work my way up to 6 million elixir to upgrade the pekka.
But with my base offering 300k (currently) to any contender, it just gets smashed! I can't get passed this point.
What's the best strategy?
I'm th8, with maxed out everything. Walls level 7 with about a dozen level 8 - i'm grinding my way through all the walls now.
You need to sit behind your shield unless you have time to do a few raids in a row. Don't break the shield unless your gains will be more than any potential losses.
What does your base layout look like? You've left your TH outside for free shields right?
BTW: Maxed elixir collectors will give you 500k every day. So even if you do nothing but wait out your shields, you should slowly accumulate unless your base is really poorly designed.
If you feel like gemming your barracks (40 gems total), you should be able to BARCH 3 million elixer in 2 hours. Read about the strategy. Just keep training barbarians and archers and taking elixir from bases with over 100K of it (exposed). After awhile you'll get very good at it.Quote:

First and foremost question: Where is your townhall? If it's in your walls, move it out. Not only will you get free 12 hour shields, but it will reduce the amount of looters that come to your camp.
That's weird .-. I've found myself at full elixir throughout my time as TH8. Perhaps you're pushed too high? I farm in silver 1 around 1200 trophies and haven't gotten smashed by a TH9 for a week.
I farmed 6 mill elixir for Pekka while at ~1500 trophies, so I occasionally got attacked by TH9s. I guess you are ditching your gold before logging off.
Might also want to burn thru dark elixir so that it doesnt accumulate. If you have lots of elixir and on top of that a good amount of gold and DE then TH9s will attack you all the more often. Do attacks with a Golem or valks or hogs. You'll be spending the DE and on top of that have a stronger army to get more elixir storages.
If you have elixir in your castle then pick it up. By keeping it in castle you are actually offering more elixir loot to the attacker.
Took me like a week to farm up to 6 mill elixir, but I only raid 2 or 3 times a day. That plus war bonus every couple of days, plus elixir from collectors was enough to get to 6 mill.
Put your town hall outside walls.

It depends on your base. If the defenses are low, then people will steamroll your base for that elixir. And if you have a lot of dark elixir or gold, say hello to even stronger players.
I'd say get your defenses going if they aren't high because you are trying to save up the elixir... Wait, what elixir upgrades do you have left? This upgrade is the last 1 for me, so eventually, if you upgrade all the elixir stuff before this 1, the elixir will eventually just pile in. In fact, I'm just building up dark elixir, waiting for the next upgrade for dark as I would rather spend the dark sooner than the elixir. Elixir is easy to get.
and your walls. If they aren't level 7 or 8, th9s will waltz right on through with their level 6 giants and archer queen.
And trophy count and th location. if you are around gold 3, I'd say that's a good place for everything as a th8, and is your th outside? If it is, you have a higher chance of being sniped and not losing so much.
put your townhall outside your defenses range. so you have a change that only the townhall is what your opponent wants

Well and the gold is about the sama so in total i make 2 lava in 2 hours
and 10 k de surpluss
so its easy for th8
u can still farming th7(i farm it sometimes(100k++) but usually bad with 50% loot)
and after finish it and throw resources make th inside for gaining throphy
so when attack use minimal attack get the loot move on by that u get more faster raid
1. Put TH outside away from defenses - make it easy to take out
2. Spend all DE and Gold - if your base is loaded with every resource then it will be worth it to everyone to make a run at 100%-ing you. If you have more than 20k DE you can bet on people attacking you no matter what. Use it on a troop or BK upgrade.
3. Keep your Elixer Storages separated. If it's all in one spot you make it too easy/tempting to pull a surgical strike at it or zap it.
4. Raid with cheap armies like BArch or BAM to build it up faster
You do realize that in the process you very likely took the elixir of a few TH8s which could be in a similar situation as the OP. :smirk:Quote:

If you lose 300K elixir each time you log off then you have to raid more than 300K elixir before you log off. But a question, do you generally raid in sessions where you phone/tablet monitor is constantly switched on? Or do you generally let your phone screen turn off in between cooking troops for raids?Quote:

TH9s have 220 camp space, AQ and level 6 farm troops. They have it way easier to farm loot. So much so they are part of the problem the OP has.

Actually, if you want to sit around and wait for shield to run out, pushing really high can help with that. Way up here in M2-M1, the loot penalty will keep you safe from most raiders, allowing you to safely accumulate collector loot and you can fin abandoned bases with a little work.
