Should we start new derby tasks?

Does anyone know? I've checked the bugs section and the announcement section and can't find an answer to this, and the derby threads are all closed for posting.

Is there a reason to wait on the new derby if our horseshoe prizes still show on the board from the last derby?

I haven't selected or trashed any tasks yet. But there is a big juicy 320-point boat task on the new board. I've already sent off two boats without choosing that task, and am close to sending my third boat. Should I take the task, or keep holding off?

Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks much.

I agree, our whole neighborhood is waiting since Nicks post (10 h ago) and stopped playing derby so we have the horseshoe rewards still visible (not one member received rewards for finishing 1st nor can select horseshoe rewards).
It's about 10min before midnight and so we will lose one complete day.

An official answer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Same situation here, nobody in our nh is doing any task, I don't even dare tap over the derby place ;) Just patiently waiting for any official statement about a rewards/prizes issue's fix.

i haven't started any new tasks because from what I read from the posts this morning, those who did start, lost the previous derby's prizes, in that they were no longer visible. I'm not taking a chance on losing them. I am however trashing low point tasks so when it's fixed and we start, we'll have a good selection to pick from.

So when you trash the low point tasks, your old horseshoe rewards are still on the board? I wanted to trash some tasks to get the board ready because this is so much wasted time, but was afraid to do so because I wasn't sure the old prizes would still show.

Can you confirm yours do still show? Thanks so much!!

Well we have started.
Realizing we have kissed last weeks prizes goodbye.
Had trashed low point tasks till there was nothing but great orders on the board. So. Just went for it.
So time will tell if we did a good thing or not.

yes the previous derby prizes Are still there. Timer is still at zero and I've been trashing tasks all day.

I never received prizes and didn't start a new task but my horseshoes are no longer visible. I just started a new task. We'll see what happens.

Great, thank you Patches! I just pruned 10 tasks and old prizes are still visible. At least it's a start and I can get the board set up for future derby play. Much appreciated!

You never know, they might still recover the old tasks still. We can hope.

If they aren't recovered by tomorrow night we'll probably start new derby and see how it goes.

On the bright side, my barn was so full I've been filing DD strangers' crates like mad today and am getting much closer to the boat score hunter achievement (and the 10 diamonds that go with it). Probably by the weekend. It's surprising how fast those points add up when filling a lot of other boat crates. So lemonade from lemons. :-)

Awesome, I'm glad for you!!

Got our rewards too, and just started the new derby. And of course, like a total moron I just sent off the boat before pulling down the boat task. D'oh! Oh well, 12 boats to go starting now. :-)
