Good stuff dude, I was directed here by someone and your plan for war is exactly what I did before reading this. One question, as the clan gets bigger into 20-25 range, it gets difficult to assign everyone to a base or group of bases. I simply left the guys not included to "help as needed" throughout basically all the bases, do you get everyone an assignment or how do you deal with this?

I assign every target an attacker. (We sometimes skip a base or 2 depending on difficulty. Remember, 1 may not be the hardest base). Here is my process:

Step 1:
I write down our players, 1-35 (or whatever composition you have. We were a 20v20 clan for a very long time)
I sometimes use a spreadsheet, but I'm old (33) and I think I get better results when I have an actual pen and paper.

Step 2:
I go through every base, starting at 35 and working my way up to the top TH8's. I always have a new TH9 (or TH8.5) take the top 2-4 TH8s. Then I go back to the top and assign my TH10s, making my way down to the top TH9s. (I would recommend most clans use their new or weaker TH10s attack the top TH9s -- depending on the skill level of your clan. If you cannot 3 star the top TH9s, have your mid level TH9s 2 Star the top few TH9s, and your Top TH9s 3 star the rest of the TH9s giving you the optimal stars.)
I think I have the best TH9s in the game, so all of my TH9s take care of TH9s (and most of the time a few TH8s.)

Step 2.1:
Think back to grade school when you matched a picture of a cow, to a field. And then matched a duck to a pond. I use the same concept when assigning targets. lol, what?
Its that simple. You take the target base, and assign whoever is good at attacking that base.
For TH9s, there are 3 basic attack styles that you want:
1. Hogowiwi (Most important)
2. Laloon
3. Gowiwi

These attacks can vary. A Hogo can have 8 witches, or 2...a Laloon can have 3-5 hounds, a Gowiwi can have a pekka or 2; etc. That part is up to the attacker.
So if the target is a Pond, I assign a duck to it.
(So if the base is best attacked with Hogowiwi, I assign a Hogowiwi attacker to it.)

Working on a "How to Identify target bases" video. I had technical difficulties last week, I just need to find the right war to give you some great examples.
