explain bad opt in for me? why would you have players who are available for war not in the war?
I agree to a point. We have no one in our clan that would be able to war but not want to. They sharpen their knives daily as they look eagerly for their next action. And we hold no one out. If their attacking stinks we still put them in and cover for what we have to, otherwise we can't give them coaching and experience so that they can stop being bad at it.
But there is when we make all new members start as spectators for a couple wars. Some of them try to get in anyways.
But also what I suggest I don't will help with bad opt ins. If you have a guy that is trying to override the leaders wishes then the leader needs to have a talk with him. Not try and do it via dueling button clicks.
Agree 100% it's annoying changing a player who has gone inactive but left their opt setting to I'm in. I've started a war and forgot about them; luckily I had remembered to end it and toss them out. nice idea:thumbsup:
A point is when someone suddenly goes afk; wether it be family or issues with phones. This feature certainly makes dealing with those issues issue.
A bad opt in would be someone who just got to a new townhall or is a rush you don't want in
100% support this.
1) The player should still have the option of changing his opt-in/opt-out button, however:
2) The leader should have override capability in some fashion, either by:
a. Putting a person in or out of a war automatically updates his/her opt-in/opt-out button
b. Being able to manually change it by selecting that member's profile.
3) This is helpful for:
a. Members that go afk and forget to change their button.
b. Members that don't know how, or just don't bother with the button.
c. Updating members that are not sure if they are going to be included in the next war.
d. In general helping the leader keep track of who is actually going to attack in the war.
I don't like this because the clan war in and out option is the players opinion. Say you were going on vacation and you set yours to red, but then your leader changes it without you knowing. Now you are in a war that you can't fight in, and idk about your clan, but when people don't use their attacks in my clan they get booted. I don't see how this option could be any good.
Well, al leader that opts a guy on vacation back into war or really to opt anyone in without there have been some form of communication first is taking his own chances there. Its his prerogative to do that if he thinks it was the right thing to do since its his consequence if it doesn't work out.
Also, a leader that does not want to touch options doe snot have to so this would not hurt them. But allowing this one thing does solve all kinds of other issues guys have raised with various suggestions on this forum.
