Better to have a ban list. A list of players who were once in the clan, they left or were kick, and are not welcome back. It doesn't matter whether it is because they were traitors, very rude, or just not up to scratch somehow.

This probably requires individuals be uniquely identified.

Banned players should not be able to re-apply to the clan, posting an offensive screed as their request. (It took months for a couple of sick kids to get bored with doing that)
