Though this happens occassionally, I would like to suggest that if the cancel option is done within say 5 mins, or the player has not been attacked yet(to prevent people from abusing this) the full cost could be refunded as a cancel could mean a few hard earned million gold/dark elixir. Please consider this suggestion thank you

I see what's driving this but I honestly don't think it's a widespread enough issue to require an update. Most everyone's accidentally started an upgrade at one point or another, but the times it occurs are few and far between. I myself have lost some resource this way, but imo in the big picture the amount you lose generally isn't very high, it's entirely user error, and frankly doesn't happen often. Basically I just don't think it's big enough to need addressing atm.
Could add to a "would be nice" list. Maybe Supercell could add it if the programer has the time or interest in it.

I've actually kinda thought that the cancel button should refund similar to gemming. Only instead of the cost in gems going down, the amount that would be refunded goes down. Cancel in the first few minutes, you get most of your resources back. Cancel with only minutes left, and you would get almost nothing back.Quote:

Everyone will start upgrading things just to save the money from the storages, and cancel it when they need to realy upgrade what they want and get the full resources, and because of that people won't be able to gain loot.
