I disagree, it's fine. Elixir has the offensive upgrades whilst gold has the defensive upgrades
Is no one reading? Look at the picture.
Walls for gold OR elixir. You can still spend gold on walls if you so wish. My camps, barracks, DE are all maxed, and troop upgrades have a couple left, meanwhile defense is wayyyy behind. I would have literally 10's of millions of elixir, possibly 100's go to waste before i maxed out gold upgrades.
Don't disagree without at least reading it properly. The thread is about helping to even the elixir/gold distribution. Walls are the most expensive thing on the game.
Gold for defense buildings, elixir for troops. I completely agree, but why do walls aka the most expensive thing in the game have to fall to ONLY gold? making elixir fall completely short on upgrades.
Supercell would think that this will decrease their income lol.
Don't think so, as all the major players that gem their walls, will still in fact gem there walls, whether it costs 1m/3m elixir or gold, still need 3 million of it haha. If you can attack enough to afford 3m gold or 3m elixir on 1 wall then i think u deserve 1 lv 10 wall haha :P So wouldn't decrease their income at all.
First, I dont gem.
I like the idea of having more stuff to pour my purple drink into, but I hope Supercell doesn't follow through with the wall part of the idea. Lower level walls are why bases are beatable. If everybody had lava walls thanks to their newfound purple purchasing power (say that three times fast), attacking would be too imbalanced. Im about to max my purple drink options too, so I agree that more purple expenses would be fun.
In the meantime I plan on using my purple on offense. I'm gonna rock n roll with a tier 3 army every time. In a sense, this will help me to attack stronger bases that have that gold we all want.
Simply put, the in game economy would be in shambles if this came to fruition.
It would be great if the town hall can be upgraded by both gold and elixer
Really, EVERYBODY would have lava walls? the cost of lv 9 and 10 walls combined is 1 BILLION gold. Can you afford 1 billion resources? whether its elixir or gold? Lol.
Yeah, let's roll with tier 3 armies, lets wait an hour and a half PER army to fill army camps with dragons, just to steal the same, if not less gold than attacking with cheaper, quicker armies. Lets intentionally waste more elixir, for a slower building army, longer time to gain resources, and all just for nothing?
Level 6-8 walls all require 2 breakers each, so whether someone has pink or black walls, you're still going to need 2. If people can afford 250 million for lv 9 walls, and 750 million for lv 10 walls, whether its gold or elixir, maybe they deserve to have it? And maybe they deserve to have their bases harder to attack, because they worked for it.
The only people that wouldn't have an issue with too much elixir at some point are either 1) too low a level that they still have plenty of elixir upgrades they actually WANT, and not just forced to get to waste elixir (like me maxing out de drills and de storage and about 20 levels worth of troops i dont even use like balloons, pekkas, healers, and things like jump spells all of which i dont use) Not to mention wasting time sending the builders to upgrade elixir costing upgrades instead of the gold upgrades u want. Which we could instead use that elixir to upgrade walls, like i want, but too busy spending gold on actual defenses, without even upgrading walls, paying 2.5m-8m PER defense upgrade leaves you with ridiculous amounts of elixir you're unable to spend, especially when lab is busy. And 2) People who gem their walls and dont care whether it costs gold or elixir, they just dont want anyone else to have them coz they just blew a couple grand getting walls.
Maybe not walls but something to balance them out
