By Far The Easiest But Best Suggestion For Next Update

Here is a rough idea of what the update could look like, so simple to add for Supercell, and would solve so many players issues without the need to introduce more elixir updates straight away :)
I'll edit the main post and attach this picture as well.

I totally agree on the fact that elixir becomes useless and so therefore using it for walls would be totally great because now elixir has a use!

nice idea all the way but i have to stay only walls not town hall cause then most people will go on upgrading walls

This would be convenient, but there would need to be some game balancing. For example, the level 8 wall displayed would cost 500,000 elixir. Then we would have less elixir to upgrade troops and train troops. Also, the game has been and in my opinion should be elixir for army and gold for defenses.

I have wondered about exactly the same thing and I love the idea:) good luck

Not really, because there would be 2 options, gold OR elixir to upgrade the wall no matter what the level
200k gold/200k elixir 500k gold/500k elixir and so forth.

There would not be less elixir for upgrading troops, as you could still spend gold to upgrade your walls, just gives an extra option for those who have too much of 1 resource and not enough of the one they want, so they always have the option to upgrade with gold or elixir, not just one :)

Also, there is much more defense upgrades than there is troop level upgrades, plus you can update up to 5 defenses at once with 5 builders, but only 1 troop can be upgraded via the laboratory (not to mention how long each upgrade takes). Meaning you need 5x as much gold as elixir, unless you're doing elixir upgrades with builders, which we are currently lacking. Then there is having to make extra gold on top of that purely just for upgrading walls, at the same time!! Causing way too much elixir on occasions. Thus the choice to buy walls with gold or elixir to help even it out :)
