Hello, nice base you should definitely upgrade all of your walls to level 8. i know this might seem like it will take a long time but it wont, you will also be saving a ton of time catching up at th9.

Agree. Don't do it. I upgraded my main acct to 9 when it looked like that and have regretted it ever since. I have a maxed th8 now as a second acct and I play it 3-4 times more than the other acct. I just started the th9 upgrade 3 days ago and will eventually dump the other acct as I never gemed anything and will catch up to that base soon enough.
Get all lvl 8 walls.
I would max out the walls. I'm currently doing the same and it's not nearly as painful as I thought it would be. I have completed 140 walls in 3 weeks. With reduced loot, I know this will be a wise decision. My only complaint is that I keep having to waste elxir. I prob should have planned it better, but o well.
Love TH8 with all you got. Try and max out more walls. Go about half and half or 3/4 of you walls upgraded before goin on.

The loot at TH9 is not that bad either. There are plenty of inactive bases in gold league given the correct time to raid (just avoid Asian peak hours), and with lvl 6 barchers, I can grab more off tougher bases.
That said, I would put barracks onto your to-upgrade list as well. It's a pain for active farmers but you will want to do it eventually.
