Wall level 7

Supercell dear,
I'd like to ask a favor of me as my friends. I saw that in the new update you put the construction of the walls with the elixir from the walls to 9, whereas before you could build from level 7. This update has a little difficulty in both me and my friends. I would ask, if possible, remove this component and get it back as before, also because I think it is not right that people who play longer than I have been able to take advantage of this component strunks new "generation" of leaders of villages it can't do.

Hmm, I'm going to assume you mean upgrading level 6 walls to level 7. (You mentioned the update changed it to 9, and currently we can upgrade from level 8 to level 9 with elixir.)

Honestly, a TH7 should not have problems upgrading walls with gold only. If all your elixir upgrades are done (all 4 camps to level 6, all 4 barracks to level 9, the dark barracks to level 2, DE storage to level 2, drill to level 3, all 6 gold mines to level 11, spell factory, lab, and all research), then all your gold upgrades (defensive buildings and traps) should be done as well, with the exception of your walls. And even if you spent the bare minimum elixir on armies (barch, BAM), you should still have almost half your walls done. Getting the other half of the walls done with only gold should be pretty easy (they're only 200k a piece, that's only one good raid or two decent raids). If you need a place to save on gold, don't upgrade the elixir collectors to level 11. I mean, the cost is minimal (only about 1M gold to upgrade all 6), but you'll save a lot of builder time, and your gold output will exceed your elixir output, which will make it feel like you're not wasting elixir.

If your elixir upgrades are done, and you're still working on defensive buildings and all your walls, then something went wrong. Either you didn't farm enough gold, or you spent too much gold rearming traps and hitting Next.

It is for economy balancing, TH7 and 8s without elixir and gold would destroy the game.

Walls have been like that for months. It's not new. I assume you're a new 7.

Why would it destroy the game? I'm a th8 sitting on maxed out elixer storages. Lab is busy, so nothing to do with it. All barracks upgraded. Nothing left to do with elixer but troop upgrades which take so long I'll be sitting on excess for a couple of months. There will be zero excess gold though as I loot what I need and then spend it immediately. So I just put my elixer storages outside and take the 300000 hit. So a th9 or 10 can come along and loot it and use it for THEIR walls, but I cant. Seems really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed to me, but payback is a bee ache. Got my lightning spells to 5. I will trade the elixer for dark. Seems the only fair solution to me.

You would have no loot then. That's the issue. The prices are not high to enough to where users aren't using Elixer it gold 24/7. You wousk likely never have loot available of you had the ability to upgrade walls.

Collectors always collecting and peoples gotta sleep sometime. I don't feel the need to go down a th level or two just to flex my muscle and loot off the little guys. Getting 50% while learning what xbows and inferno towers can do is plenty fine by me. Especially if they got those collectors fully upgraded.

Just because you can, doesn't mean everyone else can. And I don't just mean whether or not they can do it with things the way they are right now. I'm talking about whether they could, after level 8 elixir walls were brought back.

Right now, you hit TH8's and up for loot. Cool, good for you.

Meanwhile, TH9's and TH10's are dumping all their excess gold and elixir into walls. They don't have enough in storage to feed each other, and the loot has to come from somewhere.

No, not from collectors. If 10,000 active TH9's want to farm 3M gold/elixir per day, that would require a minimum of 60,000 TH9's to be raided for 250k twice a day (i.e., collector raids). That means that you need at least 6x as many dead bases as active bases. Active players farming each other means an active player has to go down for an active player to go up. Oh, you session raid? Well, if 10,000 TH9's want to session raid against active TH9's, that means 100,000 or more active TH9's have to be raided by those 10,000 TH9's that are session raiding. I hope you realize that this necessarily implies that collectors at TH9 are not enough to feed the TH9 economy. The loot must come from TH8's, on average. Yes, players like you might be able to live off of TH9's alone, but not all TH9's can. Not because they lack the skills, but because there aren't enough inactive TH9's.

Now, with the way things are, TH8's have excess elixir. You don't see them in the queue very often, but that's because they get hit faster than TH8's that aren't sitting on 300k available elixir.

If you make level 8 walls available with elixir, 1/3 to 1/2 the elixir from TH8's will disappear overnight, and it won't come back. TH9's will have to start hitting as far down as TH7's (assuming you don't also give elixir walls to TH7). Sure, they'll take out TH7's with only half a full army, so it'll be cheap to farm. But with the 50% loot penalty, they won't make much in return either.

It's not a question of "if" this is true. It happened the first time they made elixir walls available at TH7 and up. Loot for TH9 players was so bad, that players quit the game in droves. (I suppose that might mean that there are lots of dead TH9 bases out there to feed TH9's this time. But that was months ago, and Supercell has a history of removing dead bases from the queue after a couple months.)

Anyway, as a TH 7, I have zero to none problems farming walls.
