5 star system for Clan Wars only, TL;DR at bottom

I apologize in advance for the long post but I feel this should be addressed and could provide less heartache and frustration in the game, specifically clan wars.
I just got done with my last Clan Wars attack and after losing the attack I felt a mix of emotions and frustration that prompted me to submit this idea. To paint a picture, I'm a TH10, level 126. I have everything in my research lab maxed except one level on lightning spell, dragons, jump spell and goblins. My army camps are max, my CC is max and my King and Queen are 17 and 20, respectively.
My army composition consisted of 6 barbarians, 6 archers, 2 giants, 6 wallbreakers, 18 wizards, 2 PEKKA's, 2 minions, 1 valkyrie, 2 golems, and 1 witch. I had a max golem, wizard and archer in my clan castle. My spells consisted of 2 Rage spells, 2 freeze spells and 1 jump spell. So what does this mean?
Total cumulative cost of troops:
--Barbarian (200)x6= 1,200 (2 min)
--Archer (400)x7= 2,800 (2 min 55 sec)
--Giant (3,500)x2= 7,000 (4 min)
--Wallbreaker (3,500)x6= 21,000 (12 min)
--Wizard (4,000)x19= 76,000 (152 min)
--PEKKA (50,000)x2= 100,000 (90 min)
--Minion (11)x2= 22 (1 min 30 sec)
--Valkyrie (160)x1= 160 (8 min)
--Golem (750)x3= 2,250 (135 min)
--Witch (350)x1= 350 (20 min)
--Rage spell (33,000)x2= 66,000 (90 min)
--Freeze spell (35,000)x2= 70,000 (90 min)
--Jump spell (27,000)x1= 27,000 (45 min)
for a Grand total of 365,000 elixir and 2,782 dark elixir with a staggering 644 minutes and 25 seconds or 10 hours 44 minutes and 25 seconds of total training time between you and your generous clan mates to make an army for 1 clan wars attack. Now, while this may not seem so bad when you have all of your barracks maxed (I have all of mine maxed) there is still no way to make the spells get divided amongst barracks so you're looking at a bare minimum of 3 1/2 hours - 4 hours to fully train a TH10 army for war.
All of this effort and planning boils down to one, 3 minute attack and if you fail your attack you get nothing. I haven't failed many attacks, ever, but when I do fail an attack as we all have, I get incredibly frustrated that I put that much time and effort into a damn game and walk away with nothing.
Here's where my suggestion comes into play. I think we can all agree that defenses in clan wars are completely meaningless. Most heroic defense is meaningless. I could not possibly care less if someone attacks my base and I get a defend, what I REALLY care about is how many stars I gave up because after all, stars win wars, not defenses. Our system now being that 49% and no town hall is 0 stars. Since there is a maximum of 3 stars this is a pretty big achievement. My suggestion would be that clan wars bases are worth 5 stars each. 1 star every 25% and a 5th star for the town hall.
This would still provide the competitiveness to people that absolutely dominate other people's bases and get 90% and the town hall, they'd get 4 out of 5 stars. But what this would give to clan wars members is somewhat of a consolation prize for their massive efforts in every single war, every single attack. Maybe the loot could scale for the stars earned with the cap of loot being at 50% or the town hall?
E.G. the TH10 I attacked was worth 588,000 of each and 2,880 DE. So maybe half of that is rewarded for getting 25% 1 star, and full loot is awarded for getting the Town hall and/or 50% (like the current system). This would prevent much lower town hall members going balls to the wall on someone tough just to get 25% and full loot.
Now, before you say that this is ridiculous and shouldn't be implemented, know this. In Boom Beach (also Supercell's game) if you attack in an operation (equivalent of clan wars) and completely and miserably fail your attack, you get FULL reward of what your task force (clan) earns as a team. You get rewarded for your participation rather than your success. It promotes teamwork and comradery and isn't such a big donkey punch in the face when you don't quite reach your mark. Also, you only have 1 attack in an operation, not 2, and there's no real training time for troops because most people just use the army they always have trained anyways and there's no spells. So as an absolute maximum you might have 1 1/2 hour total training time to train 8 boats full of tanks but that's being as extreme as saying you're making the entire clash of clans army I listed above with 1 barracks, 1 dark barracks and 1 spell factory.
I have enjoyed and loved Clash of Clans as well as Boom Beach for well over a year and there's things I love about both games. There's small adjustments that I think could make the game more fun for either game and this idea I'm suggesting is one of them.
To give you an idea of what went wrong in my attack, the CC pull went great, disposed of with the 2 giants and a few barch, a minion and the valkyrie. Golems and wizards went to work and pekkas and queen and witch were dropped shortly after. My queen decided to chase a squirrel to the right (enemy king) and my golems and pekkas decided to go left and beat on wall right next to a jump spell. I also didn't have my king as he was upgrading and we all know how awesome it is to upgrade heroes and try and participate in war. I ended up walking away with a 42% 0 star because my queen died very early on due to having no protection.
In closing, please read and ponder my idea and see how it would affect the game. Give your insight and opinions on why you think this idea is absolutely god awful or why you think it could actually benefit everyone and give less heartache in clan wars. Please don't just downvote it and move to the next thread because I submitted a giant wall of text.
