22 hour preperation day! Idea for regularly scheduled wars

Title says it all. I propose an idea for a 22 hour preperation day to allow us casual clashers a chance at consistant war schedules! My clan tries to war every day. With the "searching for opponent" built in mechanic, we have drifted to a late night start time which sort of ruins our chance at getting our attacks in at a timely manner. Fact is, we all have lives and fit CoC into our rotation the best we can. Live strong fellow clashers!


Another reason why this is a great idea for supercell: With a 22 hour preperation day, builder hut tasks are timed better for war preperation. This may see a slight influx in general gem usage to pump out upgrades right before prep day is over. You know what that means, more $$ :)

Edit: Based off the replies people don't understand the purpose. For a clan that wars as soon as a war ends, the matchmaking takes time to find someone. This pushes back your start time gradually. After about 3 wars your start time has pushed back about an hour to two hours. the 22 hour window for prep day gives you time to regularly start wars at say, 7PM EST. Just better overall for a majority of the people with lives.

2 hours less of waiting...

This is not a good suggestion. It might help out the OP and clans like his but it will mess things up for other clans that are depending on the 24 for timing reasons.

There is a suggestion on this forum for a constant war mode that is in fact a much better approach to addressing the needs of the constant war clans.

If theres a problem with the 22 hours being too short, start the war 2 hours later so that you get the same start time. I just want to be able to chain wars back to back to back without the start time getting pushed back simpy by the matchmaking system taking time to find another opponent.

I disagree with a shorter prep day and I don't do back to back wars but I understand why YOU might want a shorter prep day. Stop suggesting that people who don't agree with you don't understand the argument.

But do you understand why a 24 hour prep day is required at times by many international clans, whether they want to do back to back CW or not ?

There is no solution that ensures people from all around the world have the ability to perform prep day tasks at a time that suits them and their needs, other than a 24 hour prep day. And isn't that what the OP wanted, that people be able to perform tasks at a time of day that suits them ?

There are simple solutions to stop the CW start time creep. The simplest one in place right now, is to take a day off and smell the roses. Sure you can't do back to back constantly this way but it does resolve your time of day issue. And in't that what the OP wanted, that people be able to perform tasks at a time of day that suits them ?

Could my clan live with a shorter prep day ? I guess so.
Could a back to back war clan live with a 24 hour prep day ? Clearly they do right now.
No changes by SC needed.

I'm not suggesting that that OPTIONAL alternatives should not be explored, but a blanket change to prep day times would negatively affect my clans just as much as current prep day times affect your clan.

How do the "prep day who needs it and it's too long and I want to set my clock by CW starting times" complainers cope with clocks shifting for daylight saving ?

Many of the one sentence/para posts just want a shorter prep day. They don't care how it is achieved.

Next they will want a shorter battle day to squeeze in 4 completed wars per calendar week. (And we have already seen threads with that request.)

I guess I'm done here then. If someone is too dense and caught up with thier own 'awesome' idea to even bother to read and recognize alternative solutions, then they are not worth talking to here on ideas.

Warren James idea is the better solution. A short prep day will make your war schedule even more messed up if you think about it.

There are a lot of awesome ideas being woven through so I can't individually quote anyone but yes, warren james, great thread. I like the idea there and I believe it deserves credit.

As for the long message, I agree for the most part, but I believe something needs to be implemented in the department of scheduled warring. Sure my clan can take a day off... but I really don't think they want to do that EVERY day in order to get consistent war start times. We're all about dat loot $$$$$.

To counter the needs of constant war clans, the prep day clock would start as soon as you hit search, and you'd also have immediate availability of your side of the war map to fill defense castles. Scouting time may be cut a bit, but I doubt many would complain, especially if it results in more even matchups. The only real issue is syncing the 2 warring clans' countdown clocks, which could be solved with a message saying "X clan declared war on you first. Hurry Up! You now have X time to prepare!"

I do agree that it isn't quite right for a clan to either suffer with the schedule drift, or be forced to take a day off just to reset thier scheduling. Shouldn't have a player's fun postpone due to technical issues if they can be helped.

I think your idea is actually quite a good one, and I have thought to myself numerous times it was a problem. I have a simple solution to all who say it would mess up their war schedules. If you start one war after another, it gets pushed down until you need to take a day off to reset which can be annoying. Well in one of the recent updates, you can put in you clan description how often you war. So I think there should be another addition to that, right now the highest you can do is Always. Well maybe they could add another one, call it Never Ending. When you set it to that, it will automatically set the prep day to 22 hours and match you against other clans that also have 22 hour prep days. Really the only drawback would be that it might take extra long to find a match, but with the 2 hour difference I believe it would all work out...

Just my thoughts on the matter. Good idea tho :)
