Fix TH 9 and 10 resource shortage through collector upgrades
This is a long post, so I’ll start with the main idea first. If our collectors cover the losses we sustain from being raided, then the game improves because we don’t have to worry about breaking shields.
Here’s an example: The problem with this game is that, at TH 9 and 10, upgrades are too expensive and resources are too easily lost. The main reason for this is that what is lost through raids can’t be made up by collectors. When you are trying to save up for an upgrade, you might have 4 or 5 million in storages, and when you get raided, they can steal 300k. Additionally, you need to spend resources rearming your traps, bows and towers, building armies, and nexting to find a base.
What ends up happening is something like this. You get raided for 300k. Then you spend another 100k rearming.
You could attack again, but 300k bases are hard to find, so you’d probably have to settle for a base that has 150-200k of each (and spend another 75k on the army and nexting, and another 100k rearming if you had to log out and got hit). So you decide to ride out the shield. During that time, your collectors (at TH 9) make about 250k, so you end up losing about 150k.
The solution is that breaking a shield needs to be a neutral proposition. That can only be done if collectors produce enough during the course of the shield to offset the losses from being attacked. Since losses from an attack can be about 400k, collectors should produce that much during a 12 hour period. That way there is no dis-incentive to breaking a shield, and any money gained by raiding can be used for upgrading.
This means that, by TH 9, max collectors should be producing about 35,000 per hour.
The way to do this is as follows: collector lvl 12 should produce 4k per hour. The 7th collector should be available at TH 9, and there should be a collector lvl 13 that produces 5k/hr.
