Upgrade To TH9?

Couldnt disagree, because i am using gowipe at th8 only...dont know how it works at higher levels. Pekka not worth it? Time is definitelly a big problem, resources not that much...always too much elixir. I have pekka at level 2 and golem at lvl 2 tho.

Unfortunately, the only advantage of gowipe is its consistency at getting two stars against TH9. Lavaloon is another consistent two star, but a good chance of getting 3 stars as well. Gowipe gets stuck on lego walls and is hard for it to get 3 stars unless you have really good heroes (like 20,20)

Pekkas are only fine if you want to max TH8, because there is no outlet for elixir. But it seems that me and the OP agree on rushing, so pekkas are essentially useless until he maxes almost everything at TH9

I am timing my last lab research at TH8 to finish the day before TH9 upgrade is completed. It gives you a day to farm another 2.5-3 mil elixir back to max capacity, while you are still TH8. Then, you can come into TH9 with max elixir for the spell factor and lab upgrade.

When you hit TH9, you can start the lab upgrade when there is 5 days or less left on the research. Research will continue at the same time as the lab upgrade.

In those 5 days, you can get enough elixir for barbs or giants. Archers and loons are lower priority. Better tanks help the BARCH more, if you need to penetrate for a few storages.

I didn't know you can upgrade the lab when research is going on. I thought research will get cancelled or something.

Never had this situation because I always maxed everything before hitting TH upgrade button. Will try it next when I move from TH8 to 9 ... after 2-3 months from now :)

Push the TH9 upgrade button... You will have a use for the elixir, both to upgrade your offense initially and then your walls. There's a hidden loot issue/penalty at TH8 (can't use all your elixir) that goes away at TH9.

Plus, you may have noticed all the threads and comments about not upgrading defenses too fast at new TH levels or you start to pull in a too heavy war matchup. What better way to avoid getting matched up with mid TH9 when you're a new TH9 than to intentionally lag a couple defenses at TH8? Instead of being an 8.5, be an 8 that has the TH9 flag.
